Today my colleague and I walked and climbed the northeast gully. Wonderful route, just demanding enough that you don't need alpine knowledge, but not for every hill soul. Fixed protections only where useful, rest free climbing. Route orientationally not demanding, follow logical direction. Plenty of marks so you can't get lost. We descended via Anita Goitan and over Trbiško škrbina to Pellarini hut. As already mentioned above, descent over the saddle is quite demanding due to nasty scree. But you rack up nice number of steps and km. No snow anymore. For approach to wall entrance suggest edge gully.

Thanks Towards the summit I believe it's dry. More interested in the snow in the gully itself. Based on your Sunday pic of north face, winter gear might be mandatory.

Hi. Has anyone done the ascent recently and can tell more about the need for winter gear? During the approach you can usually avoid the snowfield in the lower part, but what about higher up? Thanks for any info. Good luck.

Thanks, same to you. When making the plan for this route I came across your route description via Dogna to Montaž and descent via Norina too. Can only say... hats off

Yesterday walked and climbed via Norina. Already the path to the starting point lets you know this won't be quite an ordinary trip. Water level in the stream allowed us to cross it in one jump. To the start of the ferrata proper the path is completely overgrown in some meadow ends, so you need to put in a little effort to follow and find the path continuation. Marks on the rocks are decently visible and if you look well you always find it. At the top wonderful views far in all directions. Descent to Pecol. Thanks again to the family who took pity on us and drove us from Pecol to the starting point in Dunja. Beautiful, wild, solitary and quite long path that takes away your city energy and fills you at least for a day with what we really seek in the mountains.

I was at the Rinke on Saturday. The path is normally passable, except somewhere halfway from Jezersko saddle to Koroška in one gully there's a bit more snow but you can bypass it. Squeeze a bit to the wall and go. Between Koroška and Kranjska you need to cross a quite steep snowfield. No need for winter gear. The path is a bit poorly marked or the marks have faded. No snow to Ledine anymore, neither in the gorge nor on the hunter path. Safe steps

Hi. Has anyone gone in the last few days since it snowed on the SW path-from Povelj through the gully? Interested in conditions on the path-is it icy? Thanks.
