Definitely dry ground. But there's still a snow patch in the gully on the path past Čukla and on the S side, on the path to Prišna glava (as of 21.5.22).

So you would rather go via the difficult pathless terrain, where climbing crumbly rock in places is needed, orientation is difficult, walking on steep grass and scree is dangerous for slipping… than on the marked path secured with wire ropes and pegs, which is closed only because one section is not 100% compliant with standards for marked paths? And then descend the same way? Would you redirect other hikers who want to climb Pihavec to that pathless route?

For an experienced mountaineer, the approach from Luknja is of course more pleasant and beautiful, objectively perhaps safer. For a hiker used only to marked paths, however, very risky. For him, the path from Kriški Podi, even though closed, is incomparably safer. Of course, it's better if due to the closed path he just chooses another peak.

Which other path would you take to Pihavec?

How about parking in Poldov rov? OK to park on that widened part by the road or get a fine?
