The trail connecting the Posavje and Zasavje areas, from Bizeljsko in the east to Janče in the west across lonely plateaus, steep slopes and river valleys is over 200km long, ending on the mighty Kum, which the eye follows throughout the entire hike.

Last week on Monday I set off on vacation to Bizeljsko where I began the 'expedition'. A gentle breeze helped conquer the changing landscape from Pannonian plains to increasingly hilly slopes above Kozje, culminating on the broad Bohor. At the junction of pre-Alpine and pre-Dinaric highlands, gentle snowflakes escorted me to the hut in the evening.
The morning of the second day surprised me with cold and a completely different landscape clad in winter white. From Bohor towards Lisca, fog shadowed me for a while, preventing easy trail marker following. Intense focus and good orientation were required. Trudging through snow was hugely fun, allowing childlike glee in solitude and silence I hadn't anticipated all days. But when wind joined, constantly scattering my daypack, I got mad. I quickly let it go; anger is pointless and unnecessary here.
On the third day I headed across sv. Lovrenc where a four-legged friend joined me. I named him Ben. Though he urged me to Veliki Kozja peak, I declined as the trio of rain, snow, and steepness was too risky. The path from Zidani Most to Kopitnik deserves special mention. Steepness you won't forget for a long time. Across Gor to Zgornja Rečica where Z-markers for the Zasavje trail are either very faded or missing. Lots of fallen trees and again those Zasavje slopes, the main feature of this linking trail.
After overnight rest on Šmohor, confusion hit my mind seeing the snow-covered meadow—what season is it?
The charm of long trails lies in accepting the reality nature hands you moment by moment. Shoes dried, I'm rested, so off I go. Along the way I thank the wind for sparing me and marvel at how the world changed in mere days. Across Kal and Mrzlica to Podmejo pass and over Sveta planina to mountain hut Vrhe, from where on day five I continued to Čemšenik. The steepness in knee-deep snow eased as I saw blue sky atop. How my eyes thirsted for sunbeams that followed me from descent to Izlake to ascent over Zasavska Sveta gora. Priceless vistas and indulgence in following days. A very nice and interesting view above the quarry over Kresnice. From Ušta Žerenk's home along the path to Jevnica valley I admired Ljubljana basin with Polhograjske peaks, Triglav looming over mists, and eastwards to Ksa. Nice forest path from Janče to Litija officially ends via Ostrež on Kum. Last stage mischievously longest; I tweaked it cautiously to catch public transport back to reality.
Anyway, a trail worth attention. Whole or in stages, whatever. Plenty of huts, churches, farms, meadows, historical and cultural heritage remnants. We cross railway, Savinja, and mother Sava shaping most of this wonderful rugged landscape.

"On the long solitary trail I revisit and discover my bright and dimmer, known and unknown soul fragments"

To not open a new topic, I will also paste here a few impressions of yesterday's visit to Dolgi hrbet, Skuta, Turska and Brana. I left the car in KB and hitchhiked to Jezersko. To my great joy, a friendly mountaineer took pity on me and drove me to Ravenska Kočna and saved me 5km of walking. Robert thanks again! nasmeh The path to Češka koča, which conveniently lies in the oval cirque under Grintovec and Dolgi hrbet, was a pleasant warm-up and the atmosphere with the surrounding, mostly young hikers was truly exciting. The views of the massive northern walls and the height filled me with playful energy, so after moving across the shady slabs I was soon at Mlinarsko sedlo. A completely new terrain followed me, as I had not been on Dolgi hrbet yet. After rock scrambling I was alone on a wonderful viewpoint. I will return. I waved to the crowd on the neighboring, largest one and headed towards Skuta. The path is traceable and well marked. Under its summit I am shamelessly greeted by chamois, one of which poses quite cutely for me and now I have a full album of photos of the horned furry one nasmeh On Skuta I have a proper snack and move on, because the descent from Skuta at certain points requires full attention. Across scree and a secured ridge I was again on today's already similar, sand-covered ledges, when a pleasant stroll awaits me to the noticeably lower but no less respectable Turska gora. Solitude and silence in the windless conditions and admiration of everything that surrounds me. The descent from Turska requires quite good attention all the time, as the world is scattered and huge amounts of red rocks and gravel on the path is not a very friendly environment for no longer so rested legs. The wild world of Kotliči is secured in places but requires thoughtful steps. The ascent to Brana was after all a nice concluding part of the trip, which again served me with solitude at the summit. The sun's heat was saying goodbye and with it my steps from the summits of some mighty giants of this wonderful mountain range. Radler at the saddle and accumulated endorphins in the body triggered an almost skipping step towards the valley, which I just managed to catch in daylight. A wonderful day and again full of experiences...

But the day finally arrived that I was waiting for like a birthday celebrant for a birthday cake smile I started at the trailhead of path 605, place Ombrico and with a headlamp set off along the road under the highway, which later turns into a cart track and then a path. With a heavy backpack the ascent seemed slow to me but at dawn and in the company of larch groves I was quite quickly at the saddle di Cjanalot. Since I had the honor last year to get to know Poldašnja peak and Piparje, I now left them without bad conscience and set off to Dve špici, which are marked with an attractively carved path and a tunnel. After the descent the path turns to the shady north side, I follow the markings 649, towards Cuel dai Pez. Here I notice a dislodged piton, which does not present major difficulties, but the crossing of the scree that follows requires careful steps. I noticed that two variants of the short passage are possible, in any case crumbly and full of scattered sand, which I also encounter later under Monte Sechieiz. At the top I snack and in solitude admire the kingdom of Montaža. I continue along the path of the Alpine Battalion Gemona and can only marvel at the work of hands, at such height not so distant past. Along the dynamic path over ladders and bridges, I walk along the forest path grateful for breath to the solitary mountain pasture Bielige. I leave the terrace with the most beautiful views and along paths 601 and 602 visit Lipnik. The visibility of the markings disappears when I finish the ridge journey and descend from the top of Dunja into the valley. Steepness and high grasses and the path that goes where you think the path wouldn't go. The path with ascetic markings is marked with purple dots, which are visible especially to those who ascend here. The almost indignation at searching for passages was stopped by the sight of antlers, standing so close, a beautiful chamois. And next to it, a smile was drawn on my face by a clearly visible and traceable path that continued in the forest. The descent to Dogne or our Dolnje was approaching, where I have stored beautiful memories of Camino Celeste. A day full of steps, joy, beauties and above all gratitude....

On the last free day, this Sunday, I enjoy it immensely. After a very early wake-up call and, because my memory obviously fails me as to where exactly the starting point for pl.Dolgo njivo is, I leave the car quite low, for which my afternoon legs will be very 'grateful'. The path to Košutnikov turn was a good warm-up and with the sun we set off uphill together. I started ridge walking with a careful descent on the eastern path, because it's full of debris and caution is needed. Then the rocky poetry begins, where I feel like a toddler on a playground. Nowhere a soul, just a narrow, gravelly path with occasional wire rope at places where it might come in handy; sometimes it's loose and presents no difficulties at all. Macesje and Užnik appealed to me a lot. Until the junction where the path from Cjajnik joins, I don't meet anyone. This changes near Kladivo, even more so on Veliki Vrh. In this second half of the ridge the path is equally beautiful, simple and well marked, with the addition of even more beautiful and closer backdrops of other peaks. The return via the lower pastures, where you can refresh and quench your thirst, also offers a wonderful spectacle, where on one side you can proudly observe the traversed path, and on the other the giants of Ksa and Storžič, who watch over you vigilantly all day. I don't know if it's the adrenaline that after the whole day causes a joyful jump to the car or just that I quenched the thirst for indescribable beauties and peace... Dazed, I sit in the car and drive off into reality 🙂

The weather forecast, which dictated an early start and in the end turned out to be completely upside down, forced me to wake up at a very early hour, so that I quietly walked from Podvežak around 5.40. After the obligatory coffee at Korošica, I head to the first peak of the originally desired three. The remoteness in silence, solitude and losing eyes in the beauties around, were interrupted several times by curious locals. Suspecting nothing bad, since the sun didn't lack blue above Ojstrica, I nicely walk from the western to the eastern peak, when in a mere 15 minutes the sky completely changes. Uf! I try to descend quickly but prudently, when drops catch me, which quickly turn into hail. Nowhere no one, only one more runner, who is only redirected back by the thunder of lightning. Fortunately the storm didn't last long. Planjava, which already has its plan in its name, simply served its own nasmeh Quite a few hikers turned back from the planned paths, judging by the full 'hut' at Korošica. Returning full of gratitude, I stop at Podvežak, for good sour milk at even better people.

Yesterday was marked by wild and beautiful nature, exploring the unknown world... We took on an almost forgotten hunter's path from Suhadolnik to the bivouac under Kočna, which served us with acrobatics and exploring a foreign world, full of fallen trees, nettles, ticks and wonderful sighs at the view of the surroundings. Because we spent quite a lot of time looking for the path to the bivouac, we gratefully tackled the marked and gravelly path to the first Kočna and then further to the statue of Mary on Jezerska and down via Dolška škrbina to the marked path towards the saddle but we turned into the ugly graben and down.... Despite the warning that the path to Grintovec is closed, we saw some brave ones who set off down along the path. Otherwise the marked path that we did has no special features and no problematic snow fields. Nice and strenuous! 🙂 safe step to everyone together

Yesterday I headed to the unfortunately somewhat remote but magnificent corners of our beautiful country. For the first ascent of this interesting mountain, I took the marked path from Razpotje. Through the tunnel, over the slippery rocky path, markers and flowers led me to the hut with breathtaking views of rocky horizons. The steepness doesn't let up but you overlook it while falling in love again with the views ahead.
The path is nicely secured as predecessors have written, interesting and non-negligible steps full of scree require caution. Otherwise, wonderful path, wonderful mountain and wonderful world nasmeh
