Hi,
those who have more experience and also follow the situation in stores more... When is the best time-wise to buy gear? So, when do stores have the biggest discounts? Are there usually any discounts before the season? Or do you have to wait for off-season discounts? Would it be smart to buy right now?

As for stores, I'm mainly looking at Extremevital and Actionmamo, because they have the most gear.

Hi, does anyone know if the Leva path is open or closed?
anze19926. 04. 2022 11:19:44
Look, I have no problem paying those 12€ or whatever it is now (15€?). You are debating for a few pages whether the parking fee is right or not, but I'm only interested why this road is closed all winter at all? And don't tell me because of ice on the last 2 turns... As I wrote a few pages back, in winter 2019 I was several times by car to the top parking without problem. Given this year's poor winter, I conclude we could hike up all March already.

I don't even know why this road is closed, because "snow conditions" there probably haven't been for a whole month. I remember 2 years ago you could drive freely all winter to the top of the starting point. Nothing was closed.

Exactly Samo... I'm writing to this forum probably for the second time in my life and I get it.

Don't get mad old man

Exactly Samo. That's why I find it ironic that someone accuses me of not being able to handle web browsing better. I think they need to figure it out better themselves. Especially since judging by their posts, they hang around here practically every day and should already know how the forum works and where what belongs. And thanks for the answer.

Come on, stop whining. velik nasmeh If you don't know how to answer the question, just hold back from writing. 8 months no new topic posted in touring skiing. Thank God someone writes something so the forum doesn't completely die.

First of all this is a forum for debate about touring skiing. For current conditions people can ask in topics by individual mountain groups. If you look at this "touring skiing" forum you'll notice it's full of gear topics, which is correct!

This forum wouldn't hurt from as many diverse topics as possible. Because of thinking like you pensioners have up here, this forum has such low participation and is becoming practically useless. Regards

Has anyone been from Kraljev hrib in the last few days? I'm interested if it's trodden at all. And if someone can tell, how popular is this starting point? I'm a bit worried it might be packed tomorrow.

This interests me too. If no one knows, I'll report on Saturday how it is.

Np. Good luck mežikanje

I have to say it's not exactly the simplest. Especially if going downhill like I did. I think the cairns are much easier to spot going up from below. Actually there's almost no path, mainly because much walking on smooth rock.
But the valley is fairly simple (not steep) and actually doesn't matter much where we walk. In any case you'll get down and can't go too wrong. Just might spend a bit more time looking for cairns.

If you decide to go try to follow the route description here on hribi.net and add a stone to cairns for hikers coming after. Good luck. nasmeh

On Saturday I did Planina Blato - valley behind Kopica - Vrata - Kanjavec. With normal brisk walking we needed 5h to the summit including short breaks. nasmeh
I recommend bringing hiking poles, which help a bit when crossing a few snowfields.

For the return I had the idea to make a loop through the valley behind Mišelj vrh. First we couldn't find the right path, because everything is unmarked/off-trail. Then we found something I think is the path, but on the steep part there was a nasty snowfield and we had to turn back. So we returned via another valley, namely the one behind Debel vrh, which is marked only with cairns and leads to Lazovški preval. But it's a very nice valley.

Thanks for the information. Tomorrow I'll see if I can find the path and if it's passable at all. I'll report.

Hello, I'm interested if anyone knows the path from Planina Blato towards Planina Krstenica called Bušnica?

Specifically, it's a path that's marked and named on hiking maps here on hribi.net and elsewhere. But I can't find any report about this path. Once I searched for it under snow and of course didn't find it. Mainly interested if this path even exists and how demanding it is.

You can see the path here: http://www.pespoti.si/izlet.php?id=20386

Super report and pics.nasmeh Without poles on the way back must have been quite tough velik nasmeh
I agree, yes, in winter goes a bit slower, especially if searching for path in between. We were first time in these parts. Probably in summer really possible under three hours.
