Yesterday, 3rd October, from the beautiful village Čimerno I set out first to Nebeška gora and then on to Kum. From Čimerno to Nebeška gora about 30 minutes of moderate walking. A bit below the top a wonderful viewpoint on Posavje. From Nebeška gora we go on a somewhat worse path (fallen trees) towards Kum (2 hours). Markings are good and newly drawn. The path itself is interesting, especially if walking it for the first time. On the path I met no one, on the top just a few people. I was nicely received in the hut. The prices surprised me. Ričet with sausage, kokta and coffee only 6€. (REALLY CHEAP)

On Thursday, 4 October 2012 I set out on a trip through the Krvavec peaks. I started the trail from in front of the home on Krvavec. My first ascent was past the transmitter to the top of Krvavec, apart from a few workers I saw no hikers. Descent to the ski slope and along the paved path to the top of Zvoh. The fog thinned a bit and I enjoyed the view. Now onwards over Jež and descent into the saddle and ascent and continuation of the path to the top of Korena. Fog covers me but no matter, as the next moment it clears again and I can continue the path to the top of Kompotela. I noticed they installed new register boxes on top. PRAISEWORTHY. Now also descent to Mokrica, due to fog visibility poor and rocks slippery. At Mokrica for a moment some clearance and view towards Brana and into the Kamniška Bistrica valley. Still ascent (30 minutes) to the path to Kompotela and then descent towards planina Koren. Fog thickens in the heights, on my path however it becomes always clearer and even a bit of sun shines on me. I continue the path towards Kriška planina, but already after a few hundred meters I turn onto the well visible path, right and then along the slope of Krvavec to the ski slope. A few more minutes and again I am at the home on Krvavec. My path lasted six hours with slight breaks, as the weather was not too favorable to me to enjoy the nice views. On the path I met no one except a few birds.

On the path to Cmir into Vrata valley there's one big snowfield and two small ones. I saw people walking that path but it's good to have at least microspikes and maybe an ice axe. JUST IN CASE.

I was very positively surprised by the words: THANKS TO THE MOUNTAIN THAT WELCOMED THEM because most say they CONQUERED the mountain. You can't conquer a mountain, you can only climb up it if it allows you.

Last Saturday June 17th we traversed Polovnik from planina Zapleč to Log Čezsoški. For this path we needed 9h effective walking. Van took us to planina Zapleč. Road drivable esp with 4x4. Path itself nothing special just fitness and water are important. To Veliki vrh sometimes search for passage and scramble a bit. Really lucky with weather. Not too hot and breeze along the path. Toughest part descent to Log Čezsoški village. Near end when think it's over still almost 1000m drop. Path fades towards village but find way. We lucky arrived right where van waited. Saw lots flowers (gentians, auricula remnants). Two golden eagles in air, scared viper and some chamois on path.

Yesterday walked this path. For the full traverse of this route then descent to Kot and back to Kosmačev preval we needed 6 hours. Unfortunately must say the bivouac on Črna gora is in poor condition. Only question of time when it collapses in on itself. From the preval to Črna gora demanding pathless terrain. Much fallen wood and quite hard searching for individual cairns. Further from the bivouac to Požar the path is traceable without special problems. This path is very little visited so I recommend it to hikers seeking peace and of course to those with lots of fitness.

Started from Kot at 8:30. Path through the forest a bit slippery but no issues. Then almost two hours of scrambling to Požgana Mlinarica. Caution is advised as there are no fixed protections. Not recommended for vertigo sufferers. Rock stays in hand sometimes. Orientationally still quite demanding tour. Weather held up, some drizzle from fog but short. From the logbook it's clear it's very little visited.

Today by car to Jermanca. The road to Jermanca is barely drivable in some places due to storms, so I recommend careful driving. Then on the path towards Repov kot and soon to the right cross the torrent bed and up the hill to the hunting hut. View for the chosen ones. A steep ascent to the saddle follows and then a walk to the foot of Kamniški dedec. Here we leave the poles and climb the very steep gully to the summit. REWARD - magnificent view of Kamniško sedlo, Planjava etc. To the left Brana, then all the way to Kokrsko sedlo and Krvavška group and Velika planina. Descent from the summit of Kamniški dedec requires much caution due to the slipperiness of the ground. At the hunting hut a sip of drink and back to the car.

On Tuesday past Vodnikov dom to Bohinjska vratca and on along unmarked path to Vernar. Path was dry. At some places very exposed. Don't recommend to inexperienced and vertiginous. Needs quite some fitness and sober head. On descent be VERY careful and watch every step. Gentians just started blooming and also other flowers in abundance here. On the way to valley also a jump to equally unmarked and unprotected Ablanca. Shame that at Konjščica alpine pasture there's no one to herd.

For Velika or any other pasture I recommend hiking boots regardless of snow or mud and puddles.

Yesterday afternoon I went on a photo excursion to Velika Planina. I've been there many times but still every time pleasantly surprised. Not all feelings can be described, you just have to go up and see it yourself.
