Today up there again a bit of winter, despite the cold there was no shortage of visitors.

Kamniško sedlo also changed color for a few hours.

At Gradišče I just snap a quick photo and hurry to Zeleni rob for the stove.

I'm going to Velika Planina for the first time... with friends, we don't have much hiking experience, and we don't know what's the best approach for parking, since we're from the other end of Slovenia... Any suggestions?

Otherwise, as per my habit, late with the post again (the riddle isn't to blame), the crocuses might already be a bit purple, but that's not the point this time. The point is the updates on the paths I was on.
Kačjek and Gamsove streže: no more obstacles, all the logs that were lying one on top of the other have been sawn up and the path is completely normally passable. Except for the torrent gullies.
Kuklarji: on the climbing section there are some new protections since last year.

p.s. for the predecessor - I DON'T recommend the mentioned paths for the first time nasmeh

I'd just add that the path compared to last year is better trodden - especially that the steps are more reliable when crossing two (scree-covered) scree slopes - one right after the gully secured with a rope, the other a bit lower - on the descent

After a longer pause today again on the usual route. To Primož a few people, further dead calm. Before Jarški I occupy my box, not even jackdaws were seen today. In the sun a good half an hour of meditation, slowly clouds gather. A few drops during the bus ride, west of Rink it rained already after eleven. A few pictures.

Beautifully green, but the grass is still small.

Rinški small amphitheater more flooded than in February.

Along the ridge to Ojstrica already possible without iron.

Maybe it will work out without rain today.

Štruca, Skuta, Kranjska, Koroška and Štajerska Rinka.

Snow patch has moved from Mokrica to Kompotelo.

The conditions are sad. Namely, King Brin and Queen Brina fell under the saw of an unknown vandal. They stood resilient and fearless and adorned the path along the southern edge by the fence (10 minutes walk from Šimnovec towards Gradišče). Sometimes we chatted a bit in autumn, I also picked some juniper berries, but now someone thought this beautiful pair was superfluous. He sawed them and threw them over the fence, so that his vandalism wouldn't be visible to everyone. I am very angry at this unknown "hero". jezen

Surely there was a shepherd on duty so that his cows wouldn't get intoxicated. A really pathetic act.

I wasn't in the mood for anything more than going up, but it was already time to stretch my legs a bit again. On the Feast of Corpus Christi I could barely find a parking spot in front of Calcit, people are already returning from Primož in droves??. A few also went to Planina, but at Jarški, where I have my base, it was more or less dead. Understandable, since from Gradišče, where (foreign) tourists arrive by cable car, to these three inns is obviously too far on foot and they will have to come up with some little train big grin

to connect these two destinations, which would run at the peak of the season or at least on nice weekends.
Well, it doesn't concern me, I prefer solitude and this wintery weather with a light blizzard smile

They even removed the swing at Gradišče, where old and young used to swing, the kiosk at Šimnovec that already wasn't operating last year was knocked down by this year's storm... Nothing is really worth it here.
And a few photos, so I'm not just talking nonsense.

The grass is nicely green, as if it had just stopped raining.

This year an extreme number of new cones.

The attic is nicely covered with shingles, next is the roof of the main building.

Instead of grazing the grass, they prefer to lie on it.

Half a year of the Lord has already passed, my statistics show No. thirty. Today with light legs in the fresh morning, no people, no flowers, only birds accompanied me to the exit from the forest. After Lidija's cold beer and in dry rags from Jarše, touristically along the ridge to Gradišče. There mostly foreign tourists, at noon with the cable car leaving Šimnovec only two, in the bus to Calcita I was alone. There was no rain at night, neither at home nor there, but it was noticeably colder than the previous days.

Kalški Greben. Only in Krvava lokva is there still snow.

Arnica is already in the final stage of blooming.

This year there are lots of carnations up there??

Planjava has already freed itself from the fog. At Gradišče, a struggle for standing spots.

Last week someone on FB asked if crampons are still needed for Mrzla gora.

Yesterday I start from in front of Calcit an hour earlier than usual, because my granddaughter also went with me. Because it was a day off work, we met a mass of hikers who were already returning from Primož. Of course there was no more crowd further on, except in the vicinity of Gradišče. More cows than flowers, along the path on the plateau there were only a few individual carnations left. With the girl we stop at Lidija's, she ate the gibanica (or something like that) with delight. Temperature solid all the time, white clouds started gathering a bit before the departure of the cable car. We didn't wait for the bus, a cheerful young man picked us up.

A few years ago, when the lady from this mountain pasture was still alive, she supplied tourists with good cottage cheese. zalagala z odl

In the valley the mists are only slowly dissipating.

In Jarško my bench is almost always available.

Gams44, your information is accurate. Janez Vrenjak – Stegn (1944–2024) was an extremely popular and recognizable fiddler and smallholder from Velika planina, from Preserje near Radomlje.

Today I was quite pleasantly surprised, as Jarški dom will be continuously open until mid-September. So the ruzaček will be lighter by another thirty dec. nasmeh

Cows are chewing, tourists are strolling, Slovenian word is rare. Due to Saturday's Porezen heavier breath and clumsy knees, flowers up there are practically none anymore. For two days I'm good, then again filat the battery. mežikanje

On the path towards Domžalec I found children's glasses with diopter. They are safe with me, I will gladly return them to the owner.
