Hello!

I'm interested where I could most easily see a marmot or marmots, where there are many? Is there a mountain where there are really a lot? Like for example on Montažu lots of ibex, some don't fear people and even pose....

Thanks for info.

Hello hikers, mountaineers, alpinists and all other nature and mountain lovers!

I am addressing you with one question: Does any of you have a Samsung galaxy A5 phone with 13mio pixel camera or Samsung galaxy S5 Neo with 16mio pixel camera?

Which is better or which makes better pics in the hills, also when you photograph some peak from afar, you want to zoom it and have a better picture...

I am deciding which one to choose, but I don't know which would be better. Does anyone have any experiences??? Thanks for the answers in advance. Urošmežikanje

Many thanks to all three for the info.

So I'll go by train to LJ, then to Jesenice, then to Boh Bistrica and onwards by bus to Stara Fužina.

Since I've never gone to Triglav from the Bohinj side, checking if I'm correctly informed.

From the bus station in Stara Fužina, I reach the chapel right away, from there a marked path leads to Hudičev most and further to Koča v Vojah, then towards Velem polje and Vodnikov dom...

Thanks again for the info.

Hello! I have one serious question for all of you.
I've been living and working the 9th year in Austria in Graz.

Haven't been to our Triglav for 1.5 years since I no longer have a private car.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, HOW COULD I GET TO TRIGLAV BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT FROM Ljubljana??

Can't find any regular line to Pokljuka, to Stara Fužina or to Savica Waterfall...

Thanks in advance to whoever has some exact info how I could get to Triglav by public transport now in October...

Best Uroš Anželj

Thanks Turbo. Helicopter is already covered by OEAV insurance. For hospital costs we're not sure. We're worried because it was in free time. On the OEAV website it says they cover hospital costs only for abroad and also transport back home. So we can conclude that if it happens to an Austrian in the Austrian Alps, hospital costs are not paid. We can only hope it goes at least from that E-card [basic compulsory health ins.]. Time will show now..... If anyone knows something like that in practice, thanks for info. Now the Austrian health fund also wants to know from the injured why and how it happened. A few days ago he also got a call from the Alpine Police about how the slip happened and why.....

Hello! Does anyone know how it is with payment of hospital treatment costs if someone is OAV member? Rescue costs even with helicopter are covered. For hospital costs, possible surgery, physio etc. It says all that is covered only in case of injury and treatment abroad. So can treatment from E-card be covered then? Since the slip in Alps happened in free time. Asking for someone who lives in Austria and got injured in Austria, broke arm. Of course OAV member for years. Now worried about costs from LKH Graz [operation broken arm, physio and up to 4 months sick leave...> Thanks for info if any of you have experience with OAV. Uroš

Yes, those tires sadly have to wait for my next visit when I'll have a big bag. Right by the alpine ironworking path from Ivarček, about 10min walk from start. Maybe someone removes them before....

Hello! Today I was again on our beautiful Urški! And this year I asked myself, what can I as Bergmensch do for our Alps? And yes, I can clean them. One trash bag and one glove really isn't that hard to put in the backpack and clean on the way back. Pigs anyway those tourists and one-timers, real mountaineers no! Our kids, descendants and alpine animals will thank us. Maybe it will make someone think and maybe more of us in future with heart for our Alps. Pictures say all! Now I feel much better knowing I did something useful for our Urško this time.

How is it with parking your own vehicle? It's probably paid, right? Is it a machine? Asking because I haven't been to Pokljuka for the last 5 years. Thanks for info.

Matterhorn -KING OF MOUNTAINS! Would repeat it again, but really only for very experienced and very well prepared, both physically and mentally. Ascent from Hornlihutte to the top about 7 hours and descent back 7 hours or more!!

Sharing memories from 4 years ago with you.
