For crossing Špičje from the Seven Lakes to Prehodavci, count on 4 to 5 hours. The path requires concentration, is not too demanding, except that it is sunny in good weather (need to take fluids), in case of bad weather forecast better postpone to another day (path goes along the ridge for quite a while).
The path is nice - scenic, Ledvička Lake accompanies you for most of the path, and you can meet a herd of chamois, especially when looking towards the north.

If that's the case then don't go see this pothole, because the adrenaline is too high and "you can get a projectile even on the very edge of the pothole.
Descent into the pothole at this time is an experience and if you have gear and someone experienced with you then you go.

I descend at the end of July, when it's less than a meter deep:-)

Janez - congrats with a bit of envy.

Ascending via ferratas and climbing have no common points except enjoyment. Gear too, except helmet and some quickdraw with nut, has nothing in common. It's true ferratas from D on aren't for everyone and require mileage if tackling harder difficulties. I'd say let everyone enjoy where they see themselves.
Man is a creature that takes others' successes as jealousy.

Congrats to Primož and his girls' team for the mentioned via ferratas and good luck with lots of fun ahead.

Thanks should go to Damjan. We just met.
Yeah I was exactly the one you asked how much to VŠ:-)
But true carniolus, weather was more than excellent and I have nice photos too. We were with buddy 13 hours on the go that day. Worth it.

I agree with you zlatica. Really nice report.

But we met a family having a rough time about an hour before Veliki Špičje (for the family from Prehodavci). With my buddy we already directed them towards Prehodavci, Krma slopes, Dolič and Veliko polje.

I like seeing the whole family so active.

To the waterfall it's a proper walking path. So allowed and suitable.

To Vernar only in good weather.
In the upper part on the fore-summit you need to choose the right path.
Because the summit is much less crowded and the path runs S and SW you might surprise some viper (or it surprises you :-)

ttpro: take ice axe on tour and if not alone also rope - that's it. No burden, but even over summer comes in handy.

Snow that holds into summer is hard and firm, dirty, mostly on steep inclines and shady sides.

On such tours gear is very important.

Individual opinions can be deceptive. For someone no obstacles on path, for other even small drop big challenge.
If beginner and mountains novice of course never alone.

The large devil's fingers originates from Australia and was most likely brought to Europe before WWI

with spores during the import of raw materials. In England it was first noticed in Europe

in 1914, also with us in recent years this exotic

fungus appears very abundantly. It grows from summer to late autumn

in mixed beech forests, parks, along forest paths and

meadows near forests.

The large devil's fingers is a very interesting and immediately recognizable fungus due to its unusual appearance and

stench. Mature spore bodies are similar to

a sea star which has dark slimy spots on its red arms.

Upon maturing, in favorable conditions within a few days the egg at the top bursts and from it emerge

parts of the fruiting body similar to traps. The spores stick to the legs of flies and in this way

spread to other areas. The fungus is inedible due to its carrion smell.

Hmm... after ms primoz's comment I wonder if the mountains have lost their meaning. Are they really just a proving ground for some ego demonstration?

On the Pl. below Mišelj vrh from the direction of Veliko p. you keep only to the left at the last collapsed shepherd hut.
The path is nicely trodden and easy, no protection needed anywhere.
Otherwise, you have Jezerski Stog in view from Vodnik all the time (if there is no fog, of course).
The other side of Jezerski saddle is Pl. Jezerce (drinking water), 20 min descent from the saddle. From Pl. Jezerce, after half an hour of moderate walking, you reach Pl. Krstenica.

If you wanted to go to Prevalski Stog by chance, you can also hop to Adam and Eva.

In good weather, the views from all mentioned peaks are really magnificent, especially towards Veliko polje with Tosc and Vernar in the background and, of course, Triglav, Rjavina, Mišelj vrh, Škednjevec, Debeli vrh...

Good luck!

From Veliko polje to the pasture below Mišelj vrh. There you stick to the left path towards Jezerski saddle (right goes to Mišelj saddle to Prevalski Stog or towards Pl. in Lazu).
From Jezerski saddle to the summit 15 - 21 minutes, to the saddle from Veliko p. good hour.
