Dear Slovenes! Do we have any pride? Obviously not. Just to share costs. If you can't afford a guide, then don't go. Because with us everything is possible without guides, everything is cheap. Abroad it's different. If you go to the mountains because you love them, you don't look for discounts. If you want to boast about the conquered peak, you look for a discount. Yes, you buy a new car, but do your shopping at Eurospin. Just so they notice you.
A real mountaineer doesn't need this.

No words that describe the sadness at the loss of a man whom many never met on mountain paths, but he was, and will remain, inspiration for all mountain lovers in his comments. Sincere condolences to family and all who knew him.

Dear Slovenians, regarding the visit to our highest peak there is too much polemic. If there is will and desire then all paths are open. Legendary words of our N. Zaplotnik: "Who seeks the goal will remain empty when he reaches it, but who finds the path will always carry the goal...." During the week I fulfilled the wish of a friend who has lived in Australia for more than 30 years. He is not a hiker. On Tuesday we bought the equipment he needed, on Wednesday we tested the new shoes on a nearby hill, on Thursday he was on the top of Slovenia for the first time. He found the path even before coming to visit Slovenia, so he also enjoyed it. Without proving and boasting. For his heart and soul. Next weekend he returns to Australia, but his path is not finished with this. Find your path and follow it, you won't regret it.

To Praprotnica plowed, further had to snowshoe. Snow more than a meter and then it's nicest at the pasture, but still without snowshoes I don't recommend. To Uskovnica it's a nice walk.

Via Tominškova to the sign for Staničeva koča lots of people, from there peace and quiet. All like on highway to Kredarica and Triglav. To Cmir and back to Staničeva koča met four hikers. Path to Cmir wonderful due to views, flowers, pegs, ladders and peace. If so close to dad, then gotta jump to him too. Over Rž still all quiet, at Kredarica the way of the cross starts. Luckily catch moment between larger "ropes", take my path to top. Up top crush that puts off longer looking around. On way back meeting those "ropes" all to Kredarica. Among crowd many ridiculously equipped walkers for whom Triglav probably only two-thousander conquered. Why? From Kredarica over Prag, circle closed.

Tuesday and Wednesday used for crossing Pohorje. First day along Šumljakova path past Mariborska and Ruška koča to Klopni vrh. Second day past Pesek to Lovrenc Lakes, on to Ribniška koča, Črni vrh, over Kope to Kremžarov vrh and to bus station in Sl. Gradec. Wonderful nature, peace and quiet, so you don't even notice you've walked 64 km and gained 2700 elevation meters.

Tomaž, thanks for living for the mountains, thanks for being our example and thanks for all we learned from you. Peace be with you!

On the map it really looks nice, but up close it's not a pleasant experience. From Planina Baban there's usually very tall grass (more than a meter) in which there are lots of snakes, so it's not a pleasant feeling. I turned back to Žaga after the third one.

Between Travnik and Zadnja Mojstrovka I descended below the ridge and went parallel to the ridge towards Grebenc. I don't recommend this route, because I soon regretted it while searching for passages, and it took longer than returning the same way.

On Saturday over "Šitna glava" to Mala Mojstrovka, where there were a lot of visitors. Then to Velika, where there was no more crowd, and to Zadnja, where there were even fewer people than on Velika. Further towards Travnik, no one else. The path is so beautiful that you don't miss the markings at all.

The last winter made a real devastation on
this path. At the main crossroads of paths 653 and 654 the signs with markings were carried away. Now there is
at the crossroads some marks that help to the right path. But there is quite some fallen trees on the path, however one can avoid that. Then to the top nicely marked and without problems.
