Yesterday I completed a wonderful tour on an unusually warm October day amid varied and colorful views: Hotel Plesnik-Slap Palenk-Icmanikov stan-Movznik-Ute-Travnik-Krofička-Klemenča jama-Hotel Plesnik (through the tunnel). I was at Icmanikov stan for the first time. From the waterfall the path is very steep, but the colorful autumn forest made up for everything. The first magnificent view opened under Rkljeva peč. Unfortunately at Icmanikov stan everything was torn up, a new road is being built - construction machines and felled trees left a bad impression and markings have disappeared too, but luckily my companion who had been here remembered where the path continuation might be. The path to Movznik seemed much more trodden to me this time than the last time I wandered around there (which is really several years ago nasmeh). To the shepherd's hut under Ute it went quite quickly and smoothly (ropes are even installed on the harder section, so you can self-belay). At the hut a well-deserved snack then onward over scree almost to the ridge and under the wall left to the meadow. Then debate with companion, which gully is the right one. Right or left? Right, that first one! On Ute the sky cleared too and wonderful views opened. Along the ridge it went nicely flowing, although at first it seems among these dwarf pines there really is no passage. But there is nasmeh. Soon Travnik summit was conquered, then a bit more dwarf pines, then retreat to Robanova side and grassy slope, via gully back to ridge, some more scrambling over rocky outcrops and suddenly Krofička summit was right in front of my nose. Yay! Followed by initially quite slippery then beautiful forest descent on marked path to Klemenča jama. From there after excellent Segedin goulash just a pleasant walk to start. Still in short sleeves (would have worn shorts too but didn't have them - who would've expected they'd come in handy), even though it was already around 5 pm nasmeh.

Sincere congratulations to both!nasmeh I got "infected" with Camino this year (exactly one month ago I returned from Camino del Salvador and Camino Primitivo) and still gathering impressions. You nicely described the spirit of Camino. So what if you have to walk an extra kilometer. That's freedom. You walk, marvel, grumble a bit when something bothers you, eat, sleep... And how few things you need. Just what's in your backpack. And then you get home and it's weird driving to work by car.
And which one nextnasmeh?

Buen Camino!

Yes, great day on Saturday on Peca. I went with company to Peca from Podpece (from Matjaž's inn). Snow just right, warm sun just right, no wind (except occasional puff on top) - rare - and great views. What more nasmeh Ice axe welcome after climbing part, otherwise nice kick steps. And two chamois seen into the bargain nasmeh

Lidija, that was really a wonderful tour. And nice description with photos. I also think that space cannot be a limitation for contact with a dear deceased person, maybe for some it's easier that way, at the grave. Pleasant wanderings in the hills continue. nasmeh

Yesterday first time to slopes of Zabrložnica and true what predecessors say: wonderful path. This time forest glowed in colors, leaves sparkled like golden sequins in warm autumn sun, silence balm for ears and head. Invaluable such feeling of nature. Like silent observer you tread narrow trails and rejoice: chamois family, jackdaws soaring above, animal tracks in snow, pearl necklaces on spiderweb ...

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I was on Grintovec and the conditions were quite good for hiking. Due to warnings about sinking I started from Kamniška Bistrica already at 5.30 a.m. Snow still starts a bit below the tree line, to Kokrsko sedlo nothing sank for me, the snow was just the right hardness and I used the predecessors' footprints. From the Saddle onwards the snow was a bit softer, but still fine for walking. Only about 100 meters below the summit I sank occasionally. I got to the top around 10. Since the sun was scorching and I lingered below the summit, on the descent I "looked" into the snow depth a bit more often nasmeh and already waddled to the Saddle. But overall it was a wonderful spring tour. LP
