Regularly read Hribe. I've never come across a topic about dogs in mountain huts in Slovenia. Really curious why a dog isn't allowed in a hut!?? That's why we prefer going to foreign mountains with my husband, where we're always welcome with our buddy. Let me explain, we have a very calm dog that obeys on command and doesn't bark. It's small breed (miniature pinscher) and always on leash. Used to cleanliness, since it lives with us in the house. Whenever we've asked caretakers for overnight with dog, always the same answer in the hallway or outside in the shack. But that's not acceptable for my dog since it's too attached to me. Exactly because of that we go to foreign mountains. And probably we're not the only ones. We have really nice mountains, which for us aren't accessible except day trips.

I need your help. I'm interested if anyone knows the herb by the name Rozenikl? I only know that supposedly it has tiny white flowers and it grows on Vršič.

These guys and girls are worth their weight in gold, and all of it voluntary.

miranm, my husband and I climbed those ladders already twice two years ago. They are in pretty bad shape, some pegs are loose, some have been carried away by the tooth of time

I've been taking a small dog with me to the mountains for a few years now. Of course we started with lower hills, now he can make it to Kredarica and back. Always leashed because of people and for safety. For him I always have enough water and treats.

The path from Krma is the shortest and steep. From Pokljuka it's more scenic and somewhat longer. Both are strenuous especially due to the sun. Here the rule especially applies: Early hour, golden hour.
