Hello,

I was looking if there's maybe already an open thread for my question, but I couldn't find it, so I'll just ask here.

Finally found hiking boots that fit me like a glove; bought Salomon Authentic model. The only trouble are the shoelaces; they keep coming loose and untie all the time. I thought they'd break in; but after six hikes (uphill walking about 3 hours), no better. Shoelaces stay tied up to half an hour (downhill even less), and it's a bit annoying to keep tying them (but to be honest, sometimes in a steep incline it's handy to take a little rest mežikanje).
Since I never had such problems with any previous boots, I don't blame it on not tying them tight enough.

Any experiences with this, what to do? Replace shoelaces, wait for them to soften or what?zmeden

Thanks for tips and help and lots of enjoyment in the hills ahead.

rs756,
roughly how much walking?

One option is Koželjeva path along Kamniška Bistrica river up to the lower cable car station. If there's enough walking for that day, the bus still remains.

Yeah, I was really there for the first time mežikanje
But as I already said, definitely not the last time, even though the starting point to one of the Slovenian hills is almost at my doorstep.

Hi,
thanks to everyone for the answers.
We were up there today with my husband; from Poštarski dom via Kozarnica. The path had no major problems; a bit icy; otherwise very nice; especially the views.
To Uršlja gora I'll go again.

Hello,
I've been reading these pages for a long time; this is my first time writing.

I'm considering visiting Uršlja gora (the pictures enthused me nasmeh). But in the path description from Poštarski dom via Kozarnica I noticed the note that in winter it's not quite suitable due to avalanches. How about the path via Kal?

Currently there's probably not much snow on the mountain, but I'm still interested in which path is more suitable in winter.

My winter hill visits are still limited to those where avalanche risk is lower (+ use of poles and crampons).

Thanks a lot for the tip.
