Thanks to both. The decision is clear - so Saturday early morning through Žrelo to Storžič.

Maybe someone knows, what's the path through Žrelo like? Conditions? Snow? Ice? Thanks in advance for any useful info.

Weather wasn't right for Montaž, so we headed to this milder peak. Planina Pecol and Špik a bit different today, rainy and foggy.

"gita" and "jaz" - how does Montaž look? Are there hikers there or is it still quite demanding and better to wait another week or two for that feat?
Planina Pecol is still unique, I see. Especially the marmot photos excited me, I've always been too slow for them.

Did you peek from the top to the other side to the secured path from Kokrsko Sedlo? I'm interested what conditions are on the other side, because climbing tempts me.
Maybe anyone else knows something about passability of this secured climbing path?

Yes Jože, exactly that short extremely awkward to cross snowfield I meant. Beautifully photo-documented.

No crampons needed, but take ice axe for safety on one very short snowfield just before exit from Slovenska still under Ledine.

25.05.2011 sister and I from Jezerskega via Slovenska path to Ledine and further on demanding climbing path conquered Velika Baba. For all who are already eagerly awaiting safe climbing feats I report that the path is passable without trouble and almost fully dry, except three small snowfields, where maybe more due to good feeling than dire need for ice axe in hand. Otherwise Baba demanding and crumbly as always, aids in good condition. No pics attached, first post on forum, still learning.
