Which ski tourer hasn't been tempted by the white Bleispitze right of Grubigstein when entering Ehrwald Basin looking west? Exactly - that's why Bleispitze isn't lonely on weekends. Of the two ascent options, from Bichlbächle it's more shaded, and with a small parking lot, often quieter. With good avalanche conditions, bypass Bachtal a good way, exit right from the gully to upper open slopes to the pass. Those going leisurely get corn on the west later and nice powder in the forest below - east ascenders get corn earlier. Sporty ones ski far down east, skin up and return to pass: double fun.
