Description: The water castle Červená Lhota ranks among the most beautiful "fairy-tale" castles in the Czech Republic. The Gothic fortress here in the valley of the Dírenský stream on a granite rock cliff was created as early as the 14th century. By damming the stream with a dam and excavating the rock neck, the rock was turned into an island. The name Červená Lhota appears only from the beginning of the 17th century, according to the color of the castle. Červená Lhota is a Renaissance water castle in the eastern part of southern Bohemia in the north of Jindřichohradecko.
