From Malga Confin to Forca Campidello

Malga Confin is located on a beautiful grazing saddle on the mid-southern slope of Monte Lavara. The hut has recently been restored to allow resumption of livestock farming and agritourism refreshment activities. It is accessed from Val Venzonassa via the service track starting shortly after Prabunello. Forca Campidello is a wide pass located between Cime di Campo and Monte Lavara. It is reachable via CAI trail 726 from Malga Confin. The walk starts behind Malga Confin, following CAI signs. First, one enters a beautiful beech forest (watch for some muddy spots) and then exits the forest where chamois are often encountered. The hike continues among dwarf pines and in view of Cima di Campo overlooking the area. Walk gently uphill to the junction for the ruins of Malga di Campo, which we skip. Continue on 726 which becomes steeper in the final stretch, until reaching the pass from which a splendid panorama opens on Canin and Montasio.
