Description: Distance: 8.00 km, elevation gain D+: 563 m, walking time: 3h 30m, difficulty: medium 22-12-2021: We are in the easternmost part of the Prealpi Trevigiane, in Montaner, a village with a long history linked to the Resistance. This itinerary allows us to visit the splendid meadows overlooking the village, on the hills at the foot of the Cansiglio. Start from the church of San Pancrazio, then a few steps lead to a steep uphill road that coincides with trail no. 1061 dedicated to Pagnoca (famous partisan commander) and higher up a beautiful trail delimited by dry stone walls is followed. We reach the small church of the Saint in an enchanting panoramic spot (here a variant from Borgo Val arrives) and turn left leaving the Pagnoca trail. We continue with ups and downs among huts and panoramic meadows passing through the Pianai, then descend into the rugged Val Salega. Attention is needed in some exposed points facilitated by a metal cable. After passing the small canyon, we continue from the opposite side of the valley towards the Scalette passing by the historic chapel dedicated to Sant’Anna. After meeting the basin of Cal de Ẑòt, opposite which a variant branches off to Osigo, we descend among olive trees and plateaus to the Cosolit hut. From here shortly back to Montaner.
