Description:
From Brig station in Wallis canton bus to Blatten, at terminus Blatten change to cable car to Belalp and started walking. Passed historic Belalp Hotel then walked viewing Aletsch glacier. Scenery spreading before eyes magnificent, just sitting watching scenery satisfying enough. 4h20min course but everyone wants to savor views slowly, better plan 6-7 hours. Midway 80m high 124m long grand suspension bridge opened 2008. Switzerland long built bridges. Bridges over deep valleys connecting villages important for traffic. Recently bridges like Aletsch valley suspension bridge attracting attention as tourist spots. Crossed Aletsch valley on grand suspension bridge half scared half happy. Maybe not for dizzy people... From bridge to Riederfurka 500m elevation difference, tough one-go ascent but old Aletsch forest impressive.
