Description:
We start from the rural settlement of Acumuer. A long track climbs up the Valle del Aurin. After several kilometers we reach a barrier and the path turns right. Through some crop terraces we take a narrow path that steepens among heather. After several zigzags we exit next to the river, already on open terrain with the Canales cirque in the background. We head towards it and although it initially seems impassable we must take a faint path to our left that climbs the scree and leads us to a narrow gully to the left of a gendarme. We overcome it and after a simple scramble we reach a grassy slope. Once we ascend it we finally reach the immense upper terrace where the Bucuesa ibons are located. Before reaching the largest one we will pass by a small shepherds' hut whose roof was built with the fuselage of a plane that crashed in that area during World War II (don't miss the narration of the events).
