Description:
Personally, the most beautiful route to ascend this mountain starts from the rural core of La Bastida (Baztida), more specifically from the Bordazar farmstead. There is a signpost right there indicating the route, which after a while enters a forest. Just follow the path to its bottom, with the river below to our right. We will see a cemented left detour (return path) which we won't take. After a while, we pass a cemented channel where water flows, and at hut height, the path turns right and exits the forest. A zigzag takes us to the Galarzé col. Climb decisively straight towards the impressive wall ahead to a low hut (Idoko lepoa). A bit higher, on a tree, a wooden panel indicates the path to the right. It skirts the impressive grassy slopes of Iparla ascending until it turns to tackle the grassy corridor, with a steep slope taking us to the Iparla col. From there, ascend along the cliff edge on the marked path with GR signs (red and white) to the summit.
