Description: The Renaissance-style castle built in the early 18th century in the largest village of Felső-Bodrogköz was commissioned and owned by the Vécsey family until 1945. Bodrogszerdahely, an old market town, had a stone castle-palace built on the site of a previous, presumably wooden fortified manor house after the Tatar invasion. This was destroyed in the early 18th century during the noble uprisings, and using parts of its ruins, the current L-shaped Baroque castle was built.
