Um...no, I think the one in the picture is on some forepeak, I photographed it myself too, the real one is more hidden behind some bush Someone commented under the post and even attached a picture to it, but I don't remember where anymore...probably on FB.

Polona, if you recorded GPS track check where you reached the highest point. That's probably the summit of Akel. (BTW, how do you decline Akle? I assume it's a plural noun: Akle/Akel/Aklam/Akel/Aklah/Aklami)

Ugh, long and demanding. Less than two weeks ago there was still plenty of snow among the scrub on the north side of Srednji vrh.

Apparently the warm weather over May Day holidays cleared it quickly. Now just those few patches left

Park before entry into mini valley then steeply up. For Akle (two slightly harder spots) and Starec (narrow ridge before summit and awkward descent over fallen trees) everything's already written. Followed nice passage up and left, where easiest entry to gully requires a bit of searching. At decision point I erred and chose right vegetated gully (correct one is left or middle, far left is tiny). Noticed error too late, consequences quite serious as I climbed two and a half hours in impassable world of extremely steep scrub. Though body long signaled way over limit, mind held. Mind switch, some airy rock II's I don't notice anymore, short gap suddenly in right direction. Just out, out of captivity... To Javorov vrh regenerate destroyed quads, then good mental planning into precise steep descent this valley side to starting morning point. Nice loop, and solitary spots.
