Alpina Žiri Shoes

Yes, most of us "old ones" got our first Alpina boots already with mother's milk. And they served us very well, especially in winter. In summer conditions I quickly replaced them with Adidas, with which I was more "free", although my soles hurt after every tour. Otherwise there were no other boots here at that time, except across the border, where with buying boots you already became half a smuggler.

But when you switch milk for beer, it's time to change boots too. Although some even in old age tolerate milk well and like it. And that's right!

dprapr, hats off for what you wrote, you hit it right velik nasmeh , but regarding the fact that you stay on milk there must still be mom for that, and dad would say something too velik nasmeh , well we older generations are already on beer and swallow milk mežikanje Well, I bought my first Planika with one of my first paychecks, and stayed loyal to the brand until last year when I got Alpina, but this year when I wore out the sole on Alpina I returned to Planika again, they have some advantages for me mežikanje

Please, can someone explain a bit how to renew Vibram sole, where to take them and how much it costs, if it's worth it. I have Tibet model.
Thanks! (I could call Alpina, I know...velik nasmeh)

Stivale shoe shop in Ljubljana. There they change soles...

Where then, on the Tibet model they can't even change the sole in Alpina. Vibram is machine-welded, not glued to the inner sole, which cheap Tibet doesn't even have....

Don't write off the top of your head!
For Tibet they do factory change. All you have to do is take the boots to Alpina shop and prepare 40€.
Worth it? From my experience, if the boot is still good, yes.

zippo: Take it and you'll see, he'll change it for you. Just it won't be exactly the same, he'll put some other Vibram on... I've seen and he does it very nicely. The question is how that new Vibram performs on the terrain...mežikanje

And 170€ for Tibet is cheap? Now it's discounted to 120, I have new ones, but I paid almost 200€ for the old ones, on installments, I remember well. Anyway, to Lj or V Žiri I really won't take the boots, gas costs me too much, I'll ask in the nearby shop. Thanks.

You can drop off the shoes at any Alpina store!

regardless of the price, the model is made by injection like those for 50 eur. The shoe will look ok after renovation and will last a bit longer - if the season is as bad as this year, otherwise not.
Try it, your own school is the most valuable

At Alpina, Vibram soles are replaced on the women's Tibet shoe model (price 40 EUR).

On 12.09. I wrote about my experiences with Alpina shoes. At that time I wrote that I bought new ones, and at the same time renovated the soles on the old ones. Now that I have tried the new ones and also the old ones with new soles, it turned out that those with replaced soles are much more secure and reliable than the new shoes. In the new ones I somehow slip and catch balance on easy terrain, while with the old shoes with new soles I didn't slip even once, even though it doesn't say Vibram on the bottom. We already said that Vibram is no longer a guarantee of quality.
It is true that the soles were changed in Železniki, in the old Ratitovec factory, where one master does it. You pay 25 eur.
I can only recommend!

I also changed the soles with this master in Železniki and I agree with ločanka. Maybe the sole is harder than Vibram, but you get used to it quickly. It's done well, and the guy also quality repairs minor defects on footwear (polishing, sewing,...)

It is true that it's a bit harder, and you have it under suspicion for a while that it's not good, but since walking with them is fine, you're satisfied soon nasmeh.

Alpina leather Tibet V boots, which cost over 100 euros. They say that the V boots have a better sole, but no. First picture still almost with full profile, second picture completely worn profile. Before anyone buys Tibet boots, think about it.

With Tibet it's just a question whether they will fall apart on the inside first or the sole will wear out first. But the sole can be replaced. Even with a better regular one. Especially they are totally bad on wet rock and leaves. Sure, they say everyone slips there, but not as much as Tibet for sure. So alternatives are Nepal VTX 955, as for Alpina. Well, there's also Ladakh, but I haven't heard practically anything about it, neither good nor bad. Has anyone used them?

I got Alpina Diablo as a gift last May, but less than a full year later they went to the trash. Did cca between 50 and 55 tough tours. Plus some short ones quick in between which I didn't count. These were my only Alpinis so far and also last. La Sportiva which is 100e more expensive lasts me 2 seasons. My experiences
