Hi Bruny, tell me, did you start in Studenice near that castle??? Does it then go along the path you mentioned, marked path??? I mostly go up the path to leave the car in the gorge where the educational trail starts, then I go along the quite long path over Baba and Begunjača past the rocks to the top, down circular from the viewpoint tower to the mountain hut and back over Baba, so that I make a loop and don't go back the same path anywhere. Thanks and Lp

jprim- you're right that's Balunjača and even if you go on educational trail you can't go over Baba. Over Baba you start right of parking, educational trail goes straight, I think Leonka mixed it up a bit, otherwise paths are described on the mountain list.

Today we went a bit to Boč to check, snow is soft towards the top it's a bit frozen, on trees lots of rime so branches break, on the very top winter fairy tale, descent to guesthouse Drvenik for coffee and figovec.

27.02. From the viewpoint on Boč there was wonderful view. All to Snežnik, Menina, Grintavec, Peč. To the east all hills of Croatian Zagorje, at least to Hungarian Bakony near Balaton. Up via Educational trail, down to hut over Baba. Actually, original plan was hike to Stenica above Vitanje, which has no view.

Today late afternoon to Boč from Poljčane with mountain bike. Up to Formila it was great. Between Formila-partisan hospital-climbing area and onwards to the road junction from Makole-Ravneče-Rogaška end I was still ,,happily,, trudging through snow or snow slush and pushing the bike. Descent to Poljčane I did already in the dark part of today. GPS Boč MTB 20.03.2010

today did the ascent from upper Poljčane over Balunjača to Boč summit. Trail entirely dry and almost dry, over Balunjača caution needed because slippery and muddy. On top it was quite windy. No views due to cloudiness. On descent it started lightly drizzling best regards Rajko

"rs56" what did you notice, are the Easter flowers already sprouting on Boč or down on the meadow?

I watch flowers only those on two legs. Wife spots the real flowers right away, but today she didn't see them, or maybe we didn't see them

Dear female mountaineer! I already told you last time that these guys are madly in love with Donačka gora, Boč and those hairy ones. I appreciate and respect that, so I allow them some mountaineering humor. And one more thing my eye noticed. Some of your photos are exceptionally beautiful. If you took them, hats off, you have a knack for artistic photography. Really, no joke. And post some personal one, so we see who our botany professor is. Best regards! Lajči
