Boč - Plešivec - Donačka gora.......

In the central part of the Boč & Plešivec landscape park... Easy below Stavski vrh/Stavšek and since I was there also climbing crag, partisan hospital and jasa Formila. No real idea so just extension below highest farm high on Boč in Čača vas.
Somewhere still quite primitively living with nature, high ,,up,, and taking care that Boč world doesn't overgrow... Turnaround and back on same track, usually combine something circular, today for/on Friday enough ,,up and down,,. Km, even less elevations indistinct. Path world, today forest roads decently soaked, also some mud where log extraction happened recently... and  it was really pleasant.

Short activity by bike in Boč & Plešivec landscape park. Entered in Podboč settlement. Exit in Studenice. Quite some activity on edge of Dravinjske gorice. Between settlements Ljubično and Studenice. Terrain soaked, partly muddy. Still extension to left bank of Dravinja. To Sv. Lucija above Studenice. Two short showers for pleasant atmosphere and real September...

By bike into world of Boč & Plešivec,22.11.2014. To the east somewhere to Ravnocerje plateau but didn't turn onto it today. Turned around somewhere on border between admin units Slovenska Bistrica and Šmarje pri Jelšah resp. Municipalities Makole and Rogaška Slatina. Still extension to west, not far but enough to reach area under highest farms on Boč in Čača vas settlement... Pleasant to chase last somehow sun of today on open space of ,,Boč plains,,. In forest parts cold. Open sunny spots were right. More...Pictures from path...
Narrower Formila area was today center of action and path connecting. Rode quite some important points and descent back to Poljčane via Podboč settlement. Lots of rain in recent months and generally scant brooks/streamlets in this world have quite some water. Yeah, pleasant was this afternoon before ,,quick dusk,, in late November time...

Friday, 19.12.2014 by bike higher into Boč world. Two hours available. Evening activity below Stavski vrh, between climbing crag, partisan hospital and Formila somewhere. Windy, very windy, although track adapted to expected wind and direction. But along Dravinja river and higher unwritten rule that wind always pulls against you. Sky clear, many stars but natural night light not proper. Moon this time not strongest. Due to wind quite cold feel, paths not too demanding. Descent to valley back cautious. Night has its power...

Three weeks and some ago, yeah Sunday it was... Snow tried but quickly ,,taken away,, Few days not quite suitable for bike. Today one short evening and that by bike. Spring of Studeniški/Topli stream and Pritensko vineyards somewhat higher for one short MTB glimpse. Track simple, km about dozen and some, elevations in meters negligible... Descent back to spring stood out several times, not so much by difficulty more by caution. Bike suited well after some hikes...

Relatively pleasant, of course, today again for the bike... From home in partly cloudy weather. Of course, due to the short day, again in evening combination. A bit higher in Boč at the source of the Studeniški/Topli stream, unlike yesterday, directly below the junction Hrastovec pod Bočem, exactly to the junction with the marked hiking trail Makole - Boč... Higher up, I was slightly surprised by light snow flurries. Easy route and soon reached the point that was planned. Boč was quite calm today, met no one... The hour was late for this world. Snow flurries turned into light snowfall at the junction with the hiking trail. Descent back to the valley had some light winter touch...
In the Dravinja valley, expected light rain due to temperature above freezing... Nice route, easy but in January it's also pleasant with the bike...

Easy today in evening version. To Makole along and above Dravinja river. Dravinja path named along the border part with landscape park Boč-Plešivec. In Makole to the hill above the settlement. Chapel of St. Lenart, nice vantage point. Dravinja river valley and also Boč summit excellently visible. Terrains mixed from asphalt to cart tracks, clear sky, some light wind and around 10 degrees... Also something easy here and there with bike is nice. So close, I've ridden a lot but this route first time. Hiked once in partly winter conditions...

Today no real time, no  real will for more concrete hiking... maybe somewhere!? in Celje, Dramlje... hills. In the evening a short uphill into Boč world with bike, somewhere basic approach to area between Formila, partisan hospital, climbing area and Stavski summit... Easy for basic stretch and some small kilometers and elevation in more easy execution/mood... Bike is still somehow first and hiking always nicer addition...
Easy route, because the area is a bit more closed and also less accessible to wind and sun; still some snow directly on the route and also on the path despite relatively low altitude, around 650/700 meters... Surprised by some light fog but that's on Formila can be rule, if nowhere else, sometimes on Formila there are some nice, slightly mysterious veils... Presumably somewhere ,,closed,, also for today ,,boč,, paths in this part. Met no one. Late afternoon quickly fell into evening. But it was pleasant...

Nice end of Karavanke. It bothers me a bit that on the portal it's not correctly recorded as they put these three peaks in the category - Pohorje and other northeastern Slovenia.

Of course your entry is correct. I myself was in dilemma but, since basic topics like Konjiška gora, Boč, Donačka gora... were already open when I came to this forum I also added some new things directly under the category Pohorje and other northeastern Slovenia... Here though the thing is definitely correctly placed, because the title is broader - Mountain biking... But it's a nice area and despite ,,sharpness,, of some peaks very pleasant also for bike. Lp

In the evening yesterday by bike to Makole and continuing to Vir: Štatenberg Castle. Combination of the Dravinja bike path directly below Boč is the right route. The castle lies on the opposite bank of the Dravinja but had a previously colorful history below Boč in the settlement Stari grad, where only some modest remains are left...

To Boč to the pass above the mountain hut... highest point of the asphalt connection Poljčane - Kostrivnica. Of course, asphalt didn't interest me too much and I chose the connection over the central part of Boč from the settlement Podboč - junction Hrastovec pod Bočem - partisan hospital and Formila clearing using forest roads. Today, for a change, on the same route ,,up and down,,. Path dry, temperature very pleasant for the bike in the late afternoon...More about the route

Plešivec in the afternoon: basic and also highest point at 822 meters. Easy route today - quite direct line below Stavski summit. On the return, some addition: that at farms high in Boč on the Kostrivnica side, church of St. Marjeta, Formila clearing and more... Yes, pleasant two hours of more ,,relaxed,, riding and lots of opportunities for observing... It is the time of elderflower blooming, which is widespread in the Boč area... Paths and conditions for riding today ideal.

Yes, today Monday 08.06.2015 late afternoon with MTB practically towards evening ,,Poljčane classic,, to Boč via Formila bike path. Some basic points like Podboč, Pritensko vineyards, hunters' hut LD Poljčane on Golnik, Formila clearing/meadow, St. Miklavž church, mountaineers' hut PD Poljčane on Boč and more form the base along the route. Practically everyone, from beginners to old timers in quotes knows this route and it is really the primary bike base on Boč, also for running/hiking... Roughly measures around 500 meters of elevation gain. Some under an hour, some around an hour, some a bit more, it doesn't matter on the described route...,,suffers,, towards the tower, Ravnemucerje, Donačka gora... Formila is mainly for ,,enjoyment,,...

On Sunday, 14.06.2015, in the afternoon, a somewhat more concrete one with the mountain bike in the Boč area or rather specifically in the southeastern world of Plešivec... I planned four points somewhere before departure and also rode them in the continuation... Ravnocerje plateau, along or above the bed of Veliki potok... this stream is somewhat of a canyon thing, to the bed of the pronounced torrent Šlog which is also somewhere the start of the geographical area Rudeka. Veliki potok, Šlog and Rudeka definitely a world among the least known and visited on Boč & Plešivec... if anyone steps here, it's more a hunter's or forester's foot; runners, hikers, cyclists... I haven't met any in this area yet. Pleasant, slightly unique... this is the world of Plešivec. Trails dry.

,,Ypsilon,, combination with mountain bike in the late afternoon already partly evening time higher into the world of Boč. ,,Y,, arms relatively short but I connected them anyway in a pleasant relatively easy ride to the hunters' cabin LD Poljčane on Golnik and the Hrastovec junction under Boč. The points have practically identical elevations... around 575/580 meters. A bit of shower rinsing that quickly crossed Boč, while it was thundering properly towards Pohorje...

Shortly after noon, with mountain bike to the landscape park Boč and Plešivec from Poljčane... Direction bed of Veliki potok in the extreme northeast part under the Ravnocerje plateau and Velika kopa peak. Definitely the least crowded part of Boč and Plešivec. The stream is quite deep below, already partly some canyon world. Exceptionally solitary area and more randomly meet someone/today no one... I haven't met recreation or perhaps sports seekers here, maybe two/three times berry pickers. Further on there's the indistinct Rudeka peak, torrent stream Šlog and the tripoint between Maribor, Celje and Ptuj areas... Today only to the stream and right back to Poljčane. Yes, really pleasant, trails mostly dry and ideal temperature, around +20 Celsius...

Was there and wasn't Boč today... Two "touches" of Boč or landscape park Boč - Plešivec. In Podboč settlement at Černogetova linden in the first variant and then also in Studenice in the center of the settlement at the overpass between the rectory and the cellar of Studenice winegrowers... Between the two points connecting roads and paths and also the place where the Dravinja river and the foot of Boč practically merge into one. Evening performance by bike, no real will and motivation for higher today. Moonlight at half power. Short but something there was...Podboč and Studenice/Boč and Podboč and Studenice/Strava Regards

There was more planned before departure. Ravnocerje plateau or contact with the bed of Veliki potok under Plešivec. The thunderstorm ,,got me,, a few hundred meters before the Hrastovec junction under Boč. Westerly wind, downpour and some thunder. Quick turn around and back to the valley...
