Correct. In the USA, as said, they close accounts to such. Here the admins still allow some self-proclaimed antivaxxer to rant, insolence, insults, ... on a portal that until now was considered more polite and mature, although we had disputes and scandals too. But someone's eye who came here by chance didn't notice them. This thread has been ruling at the top for a while and since its title is current, everyone clicks it and then sees inside the lowest point this portal has fallen to in 15 years of operation. And thinks: "Such a portal, at such a level."
Regardless, there are many complaints and grievances among regular users about this section and over time it might contribute to someone else leaving this portal. And not least because it has nothing to do with mountains.
When the Administrators realize that this section brings them no benefit, but rather damage, they'll close it or even delete it. If they think it benefits them greatly, then fine.
This is not some fascism, just a business decision. Their portal, their rules! No democracy here. On your favorite 24ur they can delete your comment or close acc without explanation. They did it to me too, though only for 14 days. So I just left the portal. F**k you! I don't even look at them anymore.
I'd support it if a special section "Other", "Sandbox","Dumpster",... is established where everyone can rant whatever they want.
