Very likely you had it asymptomatically. That's exactly one of the problems of this disease, namely so many asymptomatic cases that can happily walk around and spread the virus. Why do you think whole classes go into quarantine in one case, or whole families, even if only one got sick.

And did your colleague test? With PCR namely. HAG has a lot of false positives. Then he really won't need to vaccinate for a while.

Most likely you had covid this week, because my brother for example had exactly the same symptoms you listed, recovered with some Lekadols. Same his wife.
Yes, I tested for antibodies, which I don't have. I also talked to a doctor who says that given all described past contacts with infected, I'm most likely immune to this virus without detectable antibodies. How that's possible, don't ask me, I have no idea, I feel he doesn't either.
Colleague confirmed with PCR, since he's in quarantine too. As far as I know, after positive HAG everyone goes to PCR, which is basis for sick leave, quarantine and recovered status.
When I had opportunity to observe this disease in ALL my close ones and compared it to my last flu in Feb 2019 which nailed me to bed for a week, I concluded it's much less dangerous virus than flu, as WHO mortality stats say too. Yeah back then with flu when I couldn't eat drink or shit, I really wondered how some 80yo survives that.

The last "altruistic" reasons for vaccination are off. Low-risk people - 80 to 90% of population shouldn't even be encouraged to vaccinate. Let alone force them.

In New York doctors and medical staff for a year and a half cared for masses of Covid patients under hard conditions and got infected multiple times. One could say they entered the stable phase. Dr. Fauci still studies the surprise-full virus and his latest conclusion is that Christmas might not be allowed. Intention shows to extend authority from physical to spiritual and transcendental sphere.
After 20 months surviving pandemic, when 1/2 people contacted virus, 99.5% survived it, 0.5% died, many because that's nature's law, quite a few because health care cared more for financial bonuses than early treatment; after more than 1/2 people vaccinated, measures drastically tightened.
The closer we get to stable phase with virus, the farther from normal life. Maybe because they say winter will be dark and cold?
