You might be surprised, given my thoughts on this forum, but for now I won't get vaccinated. The only reason: questionable safety. I don't nurture any conspiracy theories about surveillance, chipping, ... I realize it's a serious disease and I'm slowly heading towards those years when it could be potentially dangerous for me.
When I'm around that age, I will, by then the risks will be better known, the vaccine perfected, ... Vaccines are developed over years and years, I know there was urgency, but still.
It's different if I had (God forbid) one of those risky diseases or worked in a risky profession. Then the probability of infection would outweigh the reservations.
So I'm also in favor of mandatory vaccination for employees in DSO, healthcare workers and all who have close contact with clients (home caregivers, masseurs, trainers, ...)

We're not far from China at all. If you're a critic of the authorities, they take away your status or perks, call you a retired prostitute. If you don't report as the authorities like, they cut your funding and accuse the media as the main culprits for protests. If you don't agree with the party-appointed health experts, they accuse you of guilt for the deaths of covid patients. If you're an expert but not ours and you've criticized certain measures, better to resign yourself.
And the cherry on top. If you eat burek without a mask, you'll have to return all received aid.
Currently, interference with human rights to decide about one's own body in the field of education. If it goes this way further, those who don't test/get vaccinated will face job terminations, prisons for the disobedient etc. Do we want to live in such a country?

I can't shake the feeling that all this advocacy of holy freedom is actually egoism. In today's time, personal rights are emphasized above all. The vaccine was developed quickly, with new, untested technology in practice. Only years will show what that means. Also, as I said, vaccines are developed for years and years, also because of safety risks.
So egoism is the right reason. If there were no such concerns, then apart from those idiotic reasons I mentioned above, the only one would be sabotage or mischief.
