Today was a suitable day for wandering around Debni Peak, 530 m elevation, 300 m ascent and some more up and down. We can start the ascent in Zalog, in Kašelj by the pond, in Sostre or in Podgrad. It's a pleasant walk that we can extend as we like for a few hours of hiking, or even a full-day hike towards Žagarski vrh, further to Mali vrh, Obolno or towards Trebeljevo, Prežganje, Volavlje and to Janče, descent to Jevnica... and train back to Ljubljana.

Today pleasant hike on otherwise wet and partly slippery paths from Zalog to and along the ridge to the summit tower. Quite few views as tall trees block nice sights on Šmarna gora and Kamnik Savinja Alps. Still, the hills Marječek, Molnik and Krim are nicely visible. From summit descended to pond and arrived home with raindrops.

The morning shows the day, says the proverb, and since the sun shone at home in the morning, I quickly headed along the road under Debni Peak. Already on the Ljubljanica bridge fog caught me, which followed me to the pond and cleared only in the forest when the shy sun shone for a few short minutes. The path is well soaked but still passable with some care. View from the tower to the fog over the city, mountains not visible. On the way down again some moments of sun and then fog over the pond. I took a few more steps by the river bank that had flooded meadows and fields where swans enjoyed the water with ducks accompanying them.

In the morning above Debni Peak, red-illuminated clouds, in the afternoon some grayness and sun. On the path, one can't completely avoid the mud and the pond has a high water level. The sun was too soon behind the clouds and there was no nice sunset today.

Nice afternoon walk to Debenji Peak. Start at parking by railway underpass in Zalog. Return past pond back to start, with stop for good coffee at fishing hut Vevče. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

Pond below Debni Peak is frozen over. Path to summit mostly dry and frozen. Today lots of visitors and good view from tower. Unfortunately trees grow fast and partly block panorama.

Yesterday from the pond, today from parking before the track to Debni Peak. The path is a bit icy below by the spring, further on slope and ridge dry and nicely passable. Yesterday I posted odd-numbered photos, today even-numbered ones...

On Friday a group of hikers gathered for a hike to Debni Peak. We went from the parking lot under the railway to the tower, where we toasted to our tours. Continued to the old castle and in the reverse direction of the Ostrovrharjev hike and descended to Podgrad. The path is easy, dry, leaves rustle under feet. Across the Besnica stream, a bit on the road, a bit on a shortcut and we were already at the tourist farm Lazar, where they hospitably received us at the gathering of our hikers. Total 8 km, two hours of easy walking.
Organized hike on the Ostrovrharjeva path is usually at the end of April, shorter and longer variant.

Today circular path to Debni Peak starting under the railway underpass, ascent on dry paths to the ridge and along it to the top. Descent on the other side to the pond and then over the bridge across the Ljubljanica and along the river through the meadows "V produ" to home.

This time from Pečar to Debni Peak and back on firm and dry path with some short ascents and descents. Nice day with good views. Path for a good hour of walking, which we extend by a good half hour due to the nice views.

This time to Debni Peak from Zalog via HARD variant, which runs along the very steep first ridge of the northwest slope, which joins the usual ridge path at the top. Path dry and nicely hikeable. Views from the tower due to mist and smog over the town worse than expected.

The trail from the pond to the peak is mostly dry, last snow patches along the trail, water level in the pond low. Due to cloudy mists, little view.

If yesterday there was little view, today it was completely different. Wind cleared the sky of haze and offered wonderful views from the tower on the hilltop from Molnik across Krim to Triglav and Šmarna gora, to Košuta, Storžič and the ridge of peaks from Krvavec to Kamniško sedlo. For the other peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps I had to go along the ridge to Pečar and under power lines I captured peaks from Turska gora to Raduha in the lens. As long as the beeches don't green up, we can admire all peaks, later trees will hide many peaks with leaves. Trail normally passable.
