Given the virus rules, we are happy for wandering on solitary trails of our home Debni vrh. Everything has turned green, trees, blueberry bushes, wonderful colors in this atypical, not at all moody April weather. Holiday days were nice weather-wise before tomorrow's cooling. But there are many people in the hill who are here for the first time, seeking the summit, exploring, nice to see young families. Probably forest walking won't harm us, I hope rather it will benefit. Otherwise all according to instructions...

Lately hikers come to Debni vrh from all sides. Some from Podgrad past the new castle. Others from Zalog steeply direct to the tower. The third [group goes] from the pond. Yet others gently from Pečar. Lately I like the direct [path] to the tower and then the right path to the old castle and back to the start. Nice in nature.

Today a quick hop to Debenji Peak. From the tower there is a nice view of most of LJ and Krim, KSA are also partially visible. If they "trimmed" two trees, the view from the tower towards NW would be really top. The path to the top is a little sea, alongside them already the first blueberries. Yum!

Please don't cut down and don't "trim" the trees surrounding the tower. Better enjoy the richness of colors, shapes, whisper of leaves..., which they generously offer. Why take away this peculiarity from the hill. Let it live its life, we've already left too many wounds on its slopes. Can't we really admire nature as it is?

Well, Debenji Peak also had to pay its corona tribute. Desecrated trees all the way from the pond right to the top! How come among hundreds of people who were dragging themselves up this hillock these nice autumn days, not even one approached the desecrator, who obviously uses his brains only to satisfy the primary-physical needs of his organism and warned him of his unacceptable behavior. Do we really live only for this moment-now, have we really become so selfish, insensitive and indifferent that we don't care at all what happens around us!?

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong, but with such a mark foresters usually mark trees that need to be felled.

Probably, soon on this nice forest path there will be a forest skid road, which will forever change the soul of the forest... regards

It's forestry marks. Two lines mean department boundary, red dot marks tree for felling (in some foreign countries this is trail marking, so no wonder occasional foreign hiker strays into the unknown). But sometimes it's good to go out of the "home forest", so various conspiracy theories and similar nonsense don't immediately spin in your head.

Yes, sometimes it's really good to go out of the "home forest", before you condemn someone for spreading nonsense.

Some today's snapshots from path to Debenji Peak. Today without crowds. Nice mountaineering greeting.
