That's in Plavški rov, where they bloomed 2 weeks ago, not on Golica

On Sunday they were in bloom around Rovte and also on Krvavka, under little Golica in buds, on Golica nothing yet.

Can those narcissus be seen also if I park at the hut in Javorniški rov?

Of course. From there then towards Križovec and Suha.

Beautiful. Weather - nice. One day earlier, 18.5. - Sunday, it wasn't like that. Start at Pristava, then a bit our own way. We knew it wouldn't be great weather, still hoped it would hold for a few hours, maybe reward for late departure from home . Twice in hail, then some time in rain, so we skipped Golica, next time... but picked some flowers and dandelions. Well, not retired yet, so can only choose tours on weekends. Chat with the hostess at Pristava, who comments how much damage the road closure to Planina pod Golico caused. One day before the event, as every year, only a few people in the tent. Everyone feels the bad traffic. LP!

Will it be too late if we do a family trip to see the narcissus on 31.5? Are they already in full bloom?

@dkotni I think it might be too late. Or maybe not? It all depends on the weather. Just go and check or call the hut and ask. That'll be the safest. LP!

We are planning a hike to Golica with kids. I'm wondering if it's possible to drive by car to Suha saddle.

Yes...during the week. On weekends there's a closure from Pristava onwards. Or later in the afternoon, after 3 pm they probably release the closure.

Nice ascent report and photos too. But... Aren't the slopes of Golica avalanche-prone? Is the track straight up the gully above the hut to the ridge relatively safe?

Tomco, they are avalanche-prone, but the amount and height of snow cover are too small, more than that, currently dangerous for some slip. Regards

Well, but this morning's incident below Tosca challenges the assumption of too small amount and height of snow cover...

Tosc is a mountain over 2000m (2275m), where conditions and snow cover height are completely different. Regards

This definitely holds true and the slopes of Tosca are surely more dangerous compared to Golica. But from the attached pics from Golica and snowfall height data from other stations, you see it fell just barely there. On Kredarica it was 40. I don't know, personally I wouldn't test these assumptions on the ground. Anyway I assume that track directly above the hut on Golica isn't avalanche-prone straight down, because then the hut wouldn't stand where it does.

To add a bit to the info, in support of @pantani1's comment... According to rescuers, up to 60 cm snow fell yesterday in Tosca area (!). Whether it was smart to even leave the hut and traverse in that weather, knowing terrain or not, too late to comment now. Tragedy anyway. Condolences to the family.

Tomco, hut on Golica probably placed there because directly above it there's a barely noticeable ridge we climb in winter from hut, first up to Krvavka then traverse to Golica. If going straight up from hut, terrain slopes a bit left and right and avalanche goes first there.
