Sunday's wish to pick jeglič failed. Yes, new snow likely covered flowers, but probably too early as narcissi are just starting to grow.
Made it only to Mala Golica via Ptičji vrh where we turned, wet snow on grass and muddy path caused slipping. Snow squalls started too.
Obviously repeat in about 14 days.

Before I pick any little flower, I make sure if it's protected and under what conditions. That's my response.
Since the weather is bad, I'm adding links for fun reading and education.
Among others, arnica is also protected, but you can pick the flower, you must not dig it up.

Why pick flowers in the mountains AT ALL? Destroy something beautiful given for everyone passing by to see, and also for those who just look at photos? Even if there are still a hundred or thousand!

REGULATION ON PROTECTED WILD PLANT SPECIES
Article 4
(prohibitions)
(1) It is prohibited to intentionally destroy, in particular pick, cut, pull and remove from nature, damage or collect plants of species from Chapter A of the annex to this regulation and endanger the existence of these species in their natural area of distribution.
(2) The prohibitions of the previous paragraph do not apply to above-ground parts, except seeds or fruits, of plants of species from Chapter A of the annex to this regulation that are marked with the symbol "O°" in the notes.
Article 5
(general exceptions)
(3) Regardless of the prohibitions of the previous article, above-ground parts, except seeds or fruits, of plants of species from Chapter A of the annex to this regulation that are marked with the symbol "O" in the notes may be removed from nature or collected for personal purposes. The permitted quantity for removal for personal purposes in one day is a bouquet (the number of plants that a person can hold between thumb and forefinger).
Neither avrikelj (beautiful jeglič) nor any other jeglič from Annex A is marked with O, which means it's not true that picking above-ground parts is allowed. Arnica flowers can indeed be collected for personal use (but I don't know what connection that has with jeglič).

Forsythia - all paths are dry, narcissuses higher up very few, just starting, lower down already lots.
