Javorca-Boskovec-Ojstri vrh-Smrekovec
A real spring outing. To Javorca along Janez's cairns, I continue more or less on my own and only here and there hit marked paths.
Mozirska hut had quite a few visitors.

On this part of the path you are never alone. Wherever you look, the cairns watch you

Descent 'freely after Prešeren' and when I climbed up here across the pasture, I stepped onto the white road.

I soon left the road and headed towards Ojstren vrh

I thought I was at the top, but realized I had already passed by :o

I returned to where it should be. Hmm, where does its name come from?

From Ojstreg vrh I descend the SE slope ...

Below the hut (direction Šmihel) there are some similar small paths on the right, I turn off and hop-hop I'm at the morning manikin above Avriklje.

On Golte, under the Krčmanska planina area, an extensive clear-cut has appeared, necessary for remediating the extensive windthrow (clear-cut now visible from the valley). If anyone has used the path through this area so far (from the roundabout right past the silo, spring and then left all the way to the abandoned log with the old mark 50m below the plateau top - latovščina for locals nasmeh

) or direct ascent along the very narrow, otherwise beautiful and steep overgrown clear-cut straight to the plateau - both variants are now almost unusable. The path was already this year after the collapse serious gymnastics over obstacles. Shame, my favorite for returning after wanderings in this area. Nearby, as part of the better-known transverse path under the clear-cut, there is one of the lesser-known JT masterpieces (partly completed?), and in these areas there also lives a herd of natural residents that I hope remain. We can't control nature, but the wish is that the beauties of this corner of Slovenia remain for us and overgrow in the coming years. lp

When two years ago I experienced the marked steep slope past Goličnik downhill, the idea was born to one day go up in a crazy dash without stopping. There was enough training this year. To Rečica and I park at the turnoff for Atelško. A little above Goličnik it is notoriously steep, later I fall into the expected trance until the end in 80 min. When at the bend at Bela peč for a few minutes I don't know where I am and my legs barely hold me, I am satisfied nasmeh

I wanted to sit briefly at Peč itself, but I find that the known passage is not yet ready for summer tires. At Ston I lounge and soak up the sun. Follows that great section, because of which I went back in this direction. Pathless terrain right above the Suha gorge spits me out right at the end at the inn. In between I chat with friendly foresters, locals - hard and praiseworthy work. Since the day is young, I also visit the local attraction.

It's covered in hoarfrost like this at 1300m.

Luckily I didn't have to go number two at Ston.

Behind the edge it's a few hundred meters deep to the Suha gorge.

The edge has been secured, probably for livestock, by someone.

Borsečnik - when you think you're in Austria (everything perfectly arranged).

Lower down there is a lot of foliage and brush.

They took Batcave from the Rečica spring; hope they cleared the copyrights.

Haven't been to Golte for a while, but this week I visited this beautiful plateau rising steeply above Mozirje twice.
Today we started at Juret's, partly on marked trail, partly not, along the ridge to Javorca, down past the window and butcher's hut, and past Goličnik back to the valley. Met some acquaintances along the way, including Janez wandering around with his little dog.
Weather was nice, almost no wind, unlike the gusts in the valley.
Hiked sections are bp!
Safe!

we were all talking here how interesting it is, when you watch where you're going, suddenly you're up

the ridge was dry, only hands were cold, because we talked too much lower down :)

Wow, lots of nice snow on Golte, real enjoyment!
Started still in the dark, listening to owls hooting in the forest below Kugler and slowly stepping in the track. Remembered all the justified and unjustified fears, ascents and falls, tears, laughter, anger and sins. Grateful for it all! In the steepness of Kebra the track was blown over and dry powder snowed in. I'm panting, sweating and enjoying, happy to be here! Higher up I spot tracks on the hunting path, get lost in the woods. Follow nicely to below the cliffs, then head left into the steep and whole slope. Gets a bit brutal when it starts swallowing me up to the balls in that pitch, higher up I pull myself back onto the tracks that wound around. Light snow starts drifting in, me towards Javorca. Passage below Javorca is demanding, even with footprints, need to be careful there, risk of slipping. Further from the barrel at the bivouac a really big drift surprises me, which I carefully plow through with a lump in my throat to clear a passage. Still here! Careful all who want to reach the bivouac below Javorca these days!
From Javorca to Boskovec it's a real fairy tale, snow up to a meter! So cool!
Now bigger flakes are falling from the sky and it's really nice! North wind catches me to Istaja. Great!
Drop down to the hut, munch an apple and hop to the valley!

We completely changed plans for the last weeks. So a short visit to Golte. Managed to hit a better variant from Žekovec to Bela peč along the slopes above Trnava. Well, the upper part I already knew. Some natural passages higher up are my favorites in this part of the plateau because of the mid-mountain feel. Forces of nature have taken things into their own hands here too. Avalanches, trunks, live(!) mud and sauna feeling when the sun hits the soaked slopes and then sweat pours from every pore. Fluid needs increase 3x quickly. Return over meadows and along the road from Goličnik back to start was for rest and enjoyment.

Part of the road just after the confluence of Trnava and Golobnica is washed away, one lane passable. Chairlift operating normally. Locals are incredibly hardworking and have already cleared huge amounts of debris and slopes. To Goličnik, directly under the Radegunda ridge, Trnava has undercut the road so much that the bottom of the large concrete abutment before the bridge now hangs half a meter above the new streambed. Repairing this short section will be tough. People up there are great, they've made passages between avalanches themselves and transport food with quads. Don't leave them alone. When you see that one stream has brought dozens of truckloads of rocks and logs to the valley, you know such isolated farms can be overlooked and cut off from the world for long. Let's help each other.

The lower part and the traverse are modestly marked.

The spring was lucky to be to the left outside the torrent bed splitting.

Today also from window to window. And some in between. Marked path between Bela skala and Ston is buried by avalanches in many places, but passable with care. Water in the reservoir is pleasant, closed at Žlajfer?? Really nice sunny day.

And one for Zlatko - just enough for one or two sips :)

I should go to Golte more often. Today I went from Žekovec past Kebra. Higher up I turned into the gully, then out of it, up to the chamois clearing and along the ridge above it. From there I traversed left below G point, and after a nice passage to the point. There I caught my breath and then continued over Javorca. I descended to the hut and along the marked path only to the branch for the window. At the window I headed right up the steep grassy gully, which brings me to the window ridge, where higher I joined the Alpine Garden path. For descent I chose the path along the Alpine Garden ridge, one of my favorites here, and past the Butcher's hut to the road. Then just the descent to the valley amid beautiful autumn colors. Golte rocks! Safe!

When I don't feel like hiking and it's a pity for gas, I bike around home hills. So yesterday from home to Čreta, today from home to Golte.
Golte, as always, didn't disappoint today either!
