Golte have been my mountain home for the last two months (thanks Zlatko!). Today, forced by weather conditions, as a final four-hour duty orchestra From marked paths, just to get an idea where I'm heading, to quite demanding pathless wanderings. So a mini collage of pics about this beautiful part of Slovenia. If it bothers anyone, I can remove the last two subjective descriptions of tips regarding visiting Golte. Pics are a bit mixed by date. Some things I deliberately didn't post, let them stay for some pathless enthusiast who'll sit in the rain on the Katransk pedestal of the cable car tower wondering what he's doing there. Other local features I checked closely and left for later (Tower, ruined ridge in the middle Požganija inlet, sheds under Okencem, some abysses/gullies/springs,...). A world that has almost everything the big ones have. May it stay like this for us for a long time. The first part exceeded all my expectations.

Additional - so it doesn't look too easy: Golte gave me three nasty falls on a slip (hip, chest, dry branch stabbed in the shin and last-moment caught another against the chest) and serious contact with the electric shepherd under Planinškom (extensive bruise after the shock and transient pains in the chest) - I don't know who wired such a strong current there And the very last info (I hope I don't spark a local quarrel) - yesterday (24.6.) checked that all marker cairns of the entry variants from Bela peč all the way to Gostečnik were knocked down. If anyone will visit these areas anew.

Thanks! Hehe, true, legs and pants don't fare too well I wrote a bit so no one thinks I walked this with left hand. Legs luckily patch themselves up, tracksuit went into retirementlp

Very nice Zlatko. Don't know why, but Radegunda left a strong impression on me while hiking on Golte. Did you tackle the ridge from the left (looking upwards?). Because I went from the right side of the sand pit and after a long traverse arrived at the entry right steep slope directly at the plastic pot (ikebana - like on Brložnu), approx 20m above the road. So I don't know the cave we already debated about. And that part on pic 4 is really nice. Don't know though who bulldozed the road in between these were really nice spots last year, without torn forest wounds. Well, the owner knows best how and why he needs his land. lp

I have the Radegunda ridge practically in front of my nose and always told myself I'll do it, I'll do it, but never did until now. Zlatko crossed it twice in one week and encouraged me to finally go.
I approached the ridge same as Zlatko. Steep as hell, every blade of grass helps. Carefully across the traverse and then right up over the jump. The ridge is wonderful, rocky and vegetated, unfortunately too short. At the chapel I sit in the sunshine and enjoy solitude for almost an hour. Satisfied and calm I head to Mežnar farm and in my head sketch the descent outline. Enjoying! Suddenly a big German shepherd jumps at me from the corner, all furious showing teeth. Almost had a heart attack! Luckily chained! Step forward, back, what if it breaks free? Won't risk! Quickly jump away and dash behind the barn to hide! Slowly stopped barking, I behind the barn across meadow to nice path leading traverse down. Wanted to reach where I started morning ascent to ridge.
Head right, cross gully and catch ledge traversing steep south slope of Radegunda. Bit on ledges, bit my own and soon at cave at ridge start. Steep and broken terrain. Nice and very demanding pathless. Real treat for us "forest alpinists"!
Next time far around the psychotic mutt!

Ran into a pup at chapel. Didn't look too healthy though, too inactive for young dog. Like sick?

Dog jumps even when people around, checked too well I still jumped meter away, automatism - read fear nice tour Zoran. And as both say real feeling is up there left when wind blows under toes... lp
