Path Žekovec - Golte is nicely passable. In the lower part only small patches of snow, on top a bit more. Since temperature was above freezing, mud appeared in places. Otherwise super trip :-)

A sunny, quite cold morning we use for scrambling in Golte rocks. Sunlit holds soon warm our frozen fingertips.
In the forest and logging areas quite a lot of snow, frozen in the morning and holds (at least in the morning). Some places icy and caution is advised. Tracks made and waiting for visitors. With sun-reddened faces we happily stop for coffee in Šmihelj and then each to their own for lunch...

In these hot days my wife and I wandered around Golte. Wonderful weather, beautiful views and relaxing walk through landscape unknown to me until now.

Yes, our beautiful Golte, we quite often head that way. It was like that on December 26th last year too ...
The current conditions really aren't, I'd call them permanent conditions, well, maybe something is happening there now.

maybe a hint of mischief, but forests owned by the state and church are mostly like those in your pictures. if something similar happens in a private forest the inspector shows up quickly. NATURA 2000 is about preserving vegetation, animal species and habitats, but your pictures show young forest that needs thinning, sometimes a branch just stays on the road

I think some things neither I nor anyone else understands. Forests are natural wealth, owners just manage them, on the other hand it means we are all owners.:rolling eyes

Walk around Janez's Golte. I tell you, it's wonderful up there. Juniper berries, blueberries that aren't quite ripe yet, wild strawberries, above all the views... wonderful.
I also visited Janez's bivouac - first time, on the way to Boskovec. I descended to the bivouac from Javorca, but I know Janez's group goes up pathless, across all steep crags marked with cairns. Maybe someday I'll catch his group and join.
I didn't want to over-photograph the path to the bivouac, because I don't know if Janez wants that.
Back to Mozirska hut, for mushroom soup and strudel, which the Dutch also praised.

yeah up there, on Mozirska planina it's really beautiful, real mountain paradise, with numerous and different approaches; on Saturday with help of who knows what, we discovered new route to the already known viewpoint; from Kedra, then through numerous turns and galleries to Javorca and due to strong wind only to the hut; seen countless times, but always anew fascinatingly beautiful; lp

This year my wife and I roamed Golte again. Weather nice, nature beautiful, hotel all OK - just for relaxation. Without a visit to Janez's bivouac, of course, it was not possible. And where you run into him - at the bivouac, of course. From the first contact, you sense a friendly and warm person.
