With today's news about the great loss of our Tomaž, a giant on a world scale, a man who was connected to the mountain, nature has again shown and proven that despite all achievements and knowledge we are still very small and powerless compared to natural laws. Personally, I feel extremely affected and sad about this news, so I decided to open this topic because Tomaž surely deserves it.

For us ordinary "plodders" Tomaž was a legend much earlier. Many times I thought of him when I was dragging myself fearfully over some rock. He was special, but all those who achieved something great in their life are special. He spent the last hours of his life on his beloved mountain, as he wished, but much too early. Rest in peace dear Tomaž.

Once somewhere he wrote: Every mountain has its soul. If the mountain doesn't accept you, but you persist anyway, it will destroy you. Sadly Langtang Linguru didn't accept him - or did it - into its depths. Rest in peace!
