Today I was present at the memory of Tomaž Humar, in clear sky under Kamnik peaks.
In the morning after visiting the closest ones, even grandpa and acquaintances' children, I climbed to the memorials in the forest and laid flowers. Tomaž had already chosen a rock in case of the worst, which is the most beautiful and its shape reminds of a mountain. The memorial is found right in the forest before the first scree. Later the program starts with already seen spots from POP TV, then speeches by former Mobitel directors.
GRS and the first instructor gentleman who explained to Tomaž, despite his then exceptional explosive energy and chaining all possible routes, that an alpinist tempers gradually over time.
Followed a speech by a former expatriate who came home because of the quality of natural life. Tomaž thus established contact with him, later although initially they stood on different sides of the branch, good friends. In Tomaž's letter for him, he thanked him from the heart for the collaboration, saying that in his business life he received only blows to the head and only a few small flowers planted here and there. They had a conversation about how to finally unite Slovenes for God's sake and make Slovenia better for future generations.
Tomaž's brother spoke about his big brother as a spiritual star climbing the Himalayas. Every move in the walls was a prayer and meditation and spiritual growth. Tomaž helped everyone who needed it. He expressed respect to God that he could be his brother. Even though you went to the stars with Angels, I'll miss you.
The Nepal ambassador's speech was very heartfelt when he said that unique Tomaž sought unity with God in the highest parts of the Himalayas, where only he could be and touch divinities in the Himalayas, even the highest Hinduism itself Shiva. Trinity: Brahma, Vishnu Shiva.
The mayor of Kamnik's performance was a bit so-so for me. He mentioned that Tomaž, when he had an accident building the house, told him that he is guilty because he arranged a shitty parcel for him (uneven position). I think for such a person who promoted whole Slovenia including Kamnik to the world, more is deserved than just a cheaply acquired parcel.
In between Slovenian singers whom Tomaž liked to listen to even in Himalayas sang - Andrej Šifrer (When leaves rustle in the forests), Vlado Kreslin with velvet voice that reaches the heart and the gentleman with zither with song (Flowers in autumn). At the end in the spot from Freddie (Show must go on!)
At least for such a great personality as Tomaž was, I expected a more substantial and detailed program. At the stage they could have put at least a picture in a frame and space for flowers, which they didn't think of even in the nearby chapel. We saw Tomaž only through electronic screen. Also no modest refreshments from the Mayor at the hut, no stew or at least drinks. Later after the end of the memorial program most went home.
Coincidence brought that I had the opportunity to meet Tomaž's ten-year good friend, where we talked about him. Tomaž loved people who were open, honest. That meant everything to him. He was direct, told everyone what they do right and wrong, whether they agree or not. He helped everyone who needed it. Even to him-friend he offered a job in his own construction company, come, no problem. Because of Tomaž's purity and uncompromisingness, many people who came in contact with him practically gave up. I'll meet Humar's friend again, he confirmed back.
I end the thought with the conclusion of the speech by the ambassador from Nepal, who said: OM (Great Creator) PADME (I take refuge in you).
