Here's how it was at the summit yesterday. Not particularly recommended for hikers, divine for skiers. More at: http://gorski.vodnik.alpinizem.net/blog/

Because in winter I didn't have the best views from it, it tempted me for a long time... waited for nice weather... today I wasn't disappointed, views fantastic, at the viewpoint a bit lower all three valleys... insanely nice, the early hour was worth it because on the return clouds were already gathering...nasmeh

After viewing the Kot valley I head to Jerebikovec too, start at main road where path goes straight up right away, drags on. At monument path flattens, after some 15 mins up again, snow at monument few cm, higher at top up to 25 cm. Bivouac not in good shape, some pics, log entry, glance at sky, looks bad and quick descent. When I sit in car then rain.

Nice picssmile Bivouac really in poor condition... roof leaks quite a bit. Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels like more people went to Jerebikovec years ago than today (bivouac, wooden steps - all quite worn).

...Jerebikovec ... to find that other viewpoint. Wasn't hard. Behind monument on ridge straight up. Far right edge. Old path still visible, leads right there to viewpoint. Views really clearer. No trees in between. Continued further right. Soon spotted old hayracks on left. Next to it cart track. Follows straight to Tilčev rovt. Then happily on to Jerebikovec summit. Path nice, dry. Met no one, today all for us with Irasmilebig

I would like to give info on the bivouac at Jerebikovec,
most say AŽ built it,
which is only partly true! First bivouac by
AŽ burned in a lightning strike in 1990,
a year later 1991 a completely new bivouac at
own expense built by Mojstrčan Toni, he
told me the bivouac after 23 years gone to hell and he won't renovate it anymore!

...Jerebikovec from Mojstrana...

When we enter the forest we're already on snow. On the first ridge holes are already quite deep. The higher we climb, the more snow and the harder to walk. Several avalanches have already gone to the valley. At the top snow over a meter. Views yesterday wonderful all around. Nice, worth the effort.smilesmile

Some fresh photos from Saturday. Snow starts on the first ridge at the benches, before that there are still some avalanche debris remnants. I skied the upper part, in February only the lower part, because on the steepest section more than a meter of snow was just waiting to slide down on us in the thaw.
