Hmm interesting... in the EasyPark app the paid area is marked only in front of the Hut in Kamniška Bistrica, not at V Koncu parking and Jermanca. So it's to be understood that up there it's still free, down more "out of nature" is paid  I expected them to charge for V Koncu and Jermanca, the Hut in Kamniška Bistrica further out of nature they would leave free... Probably for V Konec and Jermanca they're preparing some nice barrier that they like so much.
Besides, the EasyPark app says that the Kamnik agricultural community cashes this... does anyone know how that could even happen? Last time I checked that parking lot was owned by the mountain hut and the mountaineering association. Are mountaineering associations now starting this fleecing with parking lots (like municipalities) or did they sell the parking?

If they charge for these valley parking lots like this, it will show heavily in the visits to the Kamnik mountains. They will see me there less often too...

In a way I agree for those campers since in summer seasons they occupied up to a third of the parking at the spring - but I don't understand why drive away day hikers who come from far to K.B. like this.

I understand, but the problem with this logic is that sooner or later you won't have anywhere left to go without getting fleeced for parking. We said the same for the Julian Alps, where they started this a couple years ago and we then preferred to hike say in Kamniška Bistrica... well now we've got this "benefit" here too 
They probably won't notice it as long as they have a growing influx of tourists who for that 1x visit throw the money no problem... meanwhile for a Slovene who comes 10x a year it presents a bigger problem. With these parking fees, let's be realistic, they don't deter day hikers or RVs or protect nature, they deter those who won't leave them enough money. So they'll probably not notice until there's a bad recession and foreigners stop coming.
I'd really like to know if this parking lot is still owned by the mountaineering association and if they stand behind this new cash grab... last few visits to both saddles despite having stuff in my backpack for eating and drinking I bought quite a bit in the huts just to support them

For now the easy park sign is only in front of Kamniška Bistrica hut, the other 3 parking lots for both saddles are free.

Higher up they'll definitely put up barriers in the style of "traffic calming", or just traffic signs "permitted only for higher caste" (read: landowners).
No logic that below is paid, higher free.
Typical excuses of the greedy pigs are:
- "yeah elsewhere they have similar prices too" (that's how they justified it at Krvavec-Jezera with 250% increase from 2€ to 5€)
- "yeah what's the problem giving those few euros when you already spend that much on gas anyway"
- "can't be free because [insert any reason]"
Fuck your parking tourism. We'll park lower and bike the first part of the path.

Ownership can be checked anytime in the land registry. Haven't checked myself but as far as I know the whole area is owned by the municipal corporation. That they are greedy we know for long.
Barriers higher up though until the municipality gives consent won't happen since municipality pays for road maintenance. Municipal corporation uses it to haul logs.
Of course possible that members of municipal corporation get some significant share in municipal council a few more lobby and...

Went out of curiosity to check precisely...
K.O. 1891 parcel 848 covers the parking lot. 291 owners entered... so obviously managed by municipal corporation.
Same goes for parcels 842 and 847 (entire meadow around the hut) and parcel 846 (building - hut stands on it).

Probably they put this because some parked below and went to the mountains for the whole day. Meanwhile guests had nowhere to park.

Ljubitelj gora I think wanted to say that it would be correct that full-day hikers early in the morning first fill that parking spot at start of ascent to saddle, with that I agree too. But some quite early (when up there still all empty) park below the hut. Well that's probably one of the smaller problems anyway.

Well I in Kamniška Bistrica at 4am (or even earlier) never had parking problem.  But on return I quite smile watching the driving and yielding of "tourism" trying to break through higher to Jermanca and Konc

Who even currently manages the hut? Because I really never stop there, the tour analysis is done at the neighbors'
Anyway, if it's not the civil corporation directly, then the parking lot has nothing to do with the hut and they couldn't care less if the hut guests have somewhere to park or not. Important that they collect the parking fee.

Crazy ... hiking in the mountains will soon become a hobby for the wealthy apparently, because for every little bit such parking fees make your head hurt. I agree that they somehow need to limit it all a bit, since there's more and more traffic, everything parked up already in the early hours, but the heights of these parking fees have gone over all limits. And this will surely stay like that even off-season, when you can pay 10 eur down below, but up there not even the hut will be open

Yeah at 4am surely no one has a problem with parking.. or do they.
But that doesn't make me laugh at all, when at 14h on the way back from Konc dol I meet a tourist who doesn't know where he's driving, and possibly totally unprepared to meet/pull aside.

the road leading to žagana peč is still quite a disaster. It's true that the biggest ditch is right at the junction from the road to jermanco (it hides really well, you run into it) ... later there are also quite a few road surface damages ... but you can get to the end ... didn't notice any prohibition signs ... you can drive to the cable car if you have a sufficiently high car .. further on there's another bigger ditch. ... in short ... the road to jermanco is in much better condition currently. (checked both yesterday) ... (opel astra ... so not an SUV, but not hyundai i20
