There was more sun below than above. No fog at the top, but plenty around the peaks, so the view wasn't much.

Ugh, almost forgot: skorny towards the top snow started falling. So I could think again about the point of checking the weather forecast...(forecast was clearing)

On Golte it was the same until 14: snowing, then it cleared up.

Today it was a bit hard to get to Komen, recommend snowshoes to all, not forcing, each decide, but much easier with them on - from Trat direction from Dragonka consolidated track to Komen, but not fully so you can get without snowshoes, snow very loose

I start the trail at Drgovnik. Conditions completely similar to yesterday at Golte. Skis I had with me, I left them in the car, since there's too little snow for skiing in the forest. So I went on foot to the summit. Nice short tour.
Best regards from under the beautiful Golte, Janez.

9th picture, where is that? which hut? can you sleep up there in winter, for one night?

I think the 10th follows the 9th picture.
This is the chapel on Komen.
Probably, you won't be able to sleep over.nasmeh
If I'm wrong, Jenez, correct it.

Aljoša,
@jprim
has already written that it's the chapel on Komen. There's also a logbook in it. Once in winter I sheltered there from strong wind to change clothes, but for sleeping there's really little space.velik nasmeh
Best regards from under the beautiful Golte, Janez.

If you have a "sleeping mat" I think there shouldn't be problems for sleeping over, of course if you're not too comfy

Sp.Brložnik,Smrekovec,Krnes,Komen and back the same.
Nice view towards KSA.
To the hut under Smrekovec the trail is icy in some places, so we had to be a bit more skilful, since we usually don't use poles.
From Smrekovec to Komen snow is frozen so doesn't sink in.
Fog was moving in the valley.nasmeh

Yesterday (05.03.11) we were at the top. Car left at Drgovnik, not much snow on path, anyway track already made so no sinking, etc. Path actually quite steep most time, so we took exactly 1 hour 50 min for ascent. Since really nice weather it was fantastic at top, slight wind. Descent took less than hour, despite fast walking without stops. Sign at NOB monument says path duration 1 hour and also saw similar on this portal, but surely not true.

Up to where is the road drivable to Hlipovec saddle? Is track made from Komen to Travnik?
Thanks and best regards

@Felix: as far as I know the road is drivable only to the last farms on both sides - from Rastke and from Primož - (Kumprej and Drgovnik), at least on Saturday it was so. Track is made from Komen towards Hlipovec, how far it goes I don't know. LP

There wasn't much of a crowd in these parts yesterday. Well, there was none at all, although the weather was almost nice. Ljubenske Rastke, tiny cute spot with a little church and hydroelectric plant (!), then Komen, Hlipovec, partisan hospital (with at least 5 different names on the signs) and back - 5 hours of pleasant strolling, on the marked path, here and there overgrown and abandoned, no snow and occasionally in the sun - more than good for this time. We met no one, except the farmer at the last farm who replied to my good morning: "Yes, and it's a nice morning today". It really was and may there be many more.
Here we park, then one must look a bit for the markers. Right behind HE to the right, look at the farm building1
Overgrown, no more raspberries, the bogec is still in the chapel2

You can open the hut, it is actually a chapel with a summit logbook, the peak is above it7

The summit of Komna (Kamna on the sign) is on a characteristic wall of characteristic rock9

Partizanska bolnica Celje (on direction signs some different names). Renovated house, detail through the window12
Hydroelectric power plant (it says!), where you also park. The whole building is something special.13

On Saturday from Ljubenske Rast past Spodnji Detmer to Zelenjak, Mali Travnik, Koča na Travniku, viewpoint tower on Travnik and on to Komen. Descent via Brezovec back to start. Snow starts at cca 850 m and up to 30 cm on Travnik and Komen. Dry, partly with crust that doesn't hold, so pace is accordingly. On descent lower part of path poorly marked, so we go a bit our own way.

On a sunny Friday morning we drive towards Mozirje. Ideas where to go? We don't have any...
During the drive we check a bit and agree. No winter gear with us, as we were to wander only till lunch.
In Ljubno, I spot the peak of Komen clad in snowy white. Decision falls in a second and we already turn right.
Ljubenske Rastke greet us slightly snowy and morning sun hasn't reached this part yet.
Park at sand depot for road salting and dig into the steep towards last farm.
Few words with locals as we cross yard and disturb their morning tasks. In forest stop at wooden hut, short breather and in two hours at "shelter/chapel".
We start thinking to exploit this day more thoroughly.
Decision: Smrekovec and descent to Brložnik (Bele vode).
Snow on ridge cca 32 to 50cm and more in drifts. Here and there visible tracks of predecessors, now snowed over.
Going well, just missing water. Had too little (didn't plan extension). In sun pleasantly warm, despite wind on exposed spots.
Avoid Vrh Krnesa and on some parts properly breaking trail.
Before Smrekovec find two frozen springs.
Meeting visitor of nicely renovated (previously ruined) hut, invites us to cold water spring and then schnapps in hut.
Chat a bit and descend to hut on Smrekovec - don't even expect open. Hut was closed. Doesn't bother us, as we recharged batteries few mins before.
Call home for pickup (Bele vode - Ljubno) to car in Rastke and in cca 30 mins down at parking.
Use shuttle (Ljubija/Mozirje) - road still quite drivable and with last sun rays back to morning trail start.
(brown wool cap fell from backpack net somewhere on way) - if someone findsnasmeh
