Very nice.
@dRM what do you use for recording - GP7 maybe?

Thanks nasmeh
I use GP hero 6 Black and even that at 2.7K, because 4K quality wouldn't be visible on the net anyway.

Has anyone been walking along the Košuta ridge recently? Is the path dry?

Today from Matizovec (parking) to Veliki vrh then along the ridge to Košutnikov turn and back - down the slope. Nice tour. Basically no snow, if I'm not mistaken there's still a couple of annoying snow patches on Cjajnik that will probably disappear soon. From Škrbina towards Košutnikov turn it wouldn't hurt to remark this section, especially for those with poor orientation who might get fog for the first time on this path. Since the path goes along the ridge, there are several sections between Kladivo and Košutnikov turn a bit "airy", so not for everyone.

Nice path congrats. I also plan to hike it in the future, but I'd go the whole ridge further from K. turn. But in the opposite direction. Do you have any info what the path is like before K turn or from your side further from it?

Over Gamsovke you scramble, rock is not good.

From Tolste to Turn? Gamsovke I mean.
Is that the hardest part?

palček plezalček19. 05. 2020 23:59:56
Yeah, let's say. I started under Ljubelj and went towards Tolsta Košuta, but if I remember correctly, there shouldn't be much difference in difficulties depending on where you start.

Thanks nasmeh
If I ever decide to do it, I'd rather start with the harder part of the ridge.

After a few years of procrastinating, we finally managed to tick off this beautiful and quite demanding ridge in terms of fitness with a dozen two-thousanders yesterday. We started at the parking lot under the Dolga Njiva alpine pastures and off we go uphill. The day was almost perfect, but only up to Kladivo, where fogs were already swirling. After a short break, a light breeze chases us further towards Veliki Vrh. That one was also dressed quite darkly. But in the end, we realized that maybe except for the cold breeze, the occasional cloudiness didn't bother us at all. On the contrary. We also take time for a rest on V. Vrh. In between, the fogs cleared and nice views opened up on all sides. We descended via the normal route and soon after exiting the steep part, at the beginning of the Kofce pasture meadow, we sharply turn left onto the well-visible path towards the pastures and the starting point. On Šija, we chat with the friendly hut keeper, then continue with slightly tired legs towards the starting point. Time wasn't our master but enjoying the views of the beautiful meadows of the alpine pastures in the beautiful ambience embraced by the Košuta ridge.
Selfies and similar junk I won't post on this forum, where, at least in my opinion, they don't belong, and actually I don't even take them. We met quite a few friendly and cheerful people, even foreigners. In short, a nicely spent day in every way.

Yesterday my third crossing of the Košuta ridge. Start at Matizovec parking. Parking as expected empty, the whole ridge without special features, to Tolsta Košuta I went up the "hunter's" path and straight to the top. Down the classic unmarked. Back to Matizovec via Dolga Njiva, Tegoška Planina, Pl. Pungrat, Planina Šija to the hut on Kofce, where there were huge crowds. On the whole ridge few visitors.

In autumn I'd like to do a circular tour along the Košuta ridge. Which peaks is best to include, or how to do the tour? nasmeh

Thanks, LP
