On Sunday, 16.6., with friend Juri we went this time to a piece of the trail that remained from the previous weekend when we crossed the Z part of Karavanke from Korensko sedlo to Srednji vrh... Since a slightly cooler Sunday was promised , we decided it would be the right day to explore this part of Karavanke, which doesn't see much visit around here-except Kresišče. Early morning start told us it would be a wonderful day , not too hot...and it could offer some refreshing rain drops . Morning coffee clears the head and of course thoughts, gives new strength and momentum. The valley of Belca stream draws us into its embrace around 5:30. The canyon below us and rocky walls above form a wonderful harmony ....and are a real paradise for seeking photo motifs....Conversation for a while goes towards what the road was originally intended for and when it was actually built . We didn't reach a conclusion, meaning we have some interesting literature to read . Start point-some 10m above the barrier, we leave around 6am. It was so fresh and calm , that our legs obeyed nicely and led us over pastures and gullies, across saddles to peaks . The forest path leading towards Jepca and Kepa and later branching off in another direction brings us after about 15 minutes to Planina Na planji. Here there's no sign of any pasture or sheds...but later we notice some calves, making us think there's grazing around here. The hunting path then turns right uphill ....slowly for a while, steeply in some parts...We cross Belca stream several times, which has multiple arms and gullies offering diverse flowers...After about an hour and a half we're at the saddle, which we'll return to later...but from a completely different direction. The forest we're walking through is mostly coniferous , dominated by blooming larch. My thoughts already drift to autumn, when it can be fairy-tale like around here ....Slowly we rise among blooming gentians to the next saddle...below Laskovec. The saddle is quite panoramic, offering views of Murnovec, Bele peči, Trupejevo and Maloško poldne and Ojstra peč. Below us lies Planina Za lepim vrhom, especially beautiful at 8am ....No one around, so we enjoy the wonderful day....and observing nature . If we have lots of time, we can go to Kresišče right on the visible hunting trail that runs along the ridge in the upper part. We chose the shorter path this time, which goes under Kresišče and brings us back to a new saddle and to the top. Unfortunately, the fog rising from Carinthia crossed our plans for super views . So there was some bad mood present. We're first, but soon other hikers follow, and even four-legged friend. The aforementioned ridge path from Črni vrh to Kresišče is supposedly in super condition, so those tempted, go for it . The blooming ridge of Kresišče is enchanting. It offers quite a few diverse flowers in full bloom . Since the mists persisted for quite a while and showed no sign of clearing, we decided to descend . At the saddle we part....I headed towards Murnovec. At Planina Grajšca I went straight up the slope and along the ridge to the top, which is grassy and spacious. And offers views of Martuljek group , lower peaks above Martuljek and surrounding peaks with Trupejevo and Maloško poldne in front. Since I didn't want to descend the same way, I chose another direction. Which was friendlier and suitable...and where the real approach runs . From Planina Za lepim vrhom there's an excellently trodden and always traceable trail to Murnovec, quite steep though. So the path brings me after 30 min descent to my companions Bačot and Juri. On the pasture we enjoy the sun rays for another hour and a half , then continue under Laskovec to the saddle between Tišlerica and Mojstrovica, where a hunter serves us some interesting info . We cut up the slope to the first peak-Gromovec, then via Planina Ravne to Mojstrovica, 1816m high grassy peak offering wonderful views to Kepa and its surrounding peaks from Klek onwards, and to the other side towards Martuljek group ...Here you wish time would stop....and stay ....Peace, tranquility, unvisited location, wonderful nature....what more could you want ....In such wonderful company as I had, nothing more . So only Visoki Kurji vrh remained, about 45min walk. Below Mojstrovica peak the path continues, showing in next steps that actually Mojstrovica geologically belongs to the Old Karavanke. The path among pines brings us to our last point, Visoki vrh. The heat, how grateful I am, hit only so late. On top we deserve a long break, and I, at Bačot's wish, collect pine cones ...they smell really nice .....Descent through dense bushes is quite strenuous....and unpleasant . The hunting path bringing us below Planina Mikulovica first runs along the ridge, then below Visoki Kurji vrh to the road leading to our start. For the icing on the cake, a running chamois surprises us at the end . It was another wonderful Sunday that revealed some new ends of Karavanke to us. Unfortunately Kresišče was quite visited this time, so animals persistently hid from us. To see many more, I'll of course return....in autumn, when everything is dressed in golden yellow.
