Some pictures from Kriška gora and further along the trodden path to Vrh Vrata, further I didn't see anyone walking. Snow is 70cm+

Some today's impressions from the path to Kriška gora. Lots of snow, wonderful views. Crampons really come in handy.

This morning to Kriška gora from Tržič, from St. Joseph's church. Path nicely marked, very steep all the way. Met only two friendly hikers. Several viewpoints on the path with wonderful views. Hut closed today, today the winter opening/closing regime also ends. Two came from Gozd direction and turned back immediately. Quiet at the hut. Distant views slightly obscured, otherwise nice sunny day. nasmehnasmeh

Yesterday, 25.10.2025, I discovered a variant of circular traverse of Kriška gora from Tolsti vrh so that from the hut on Kriški I didn't return to the car in Gozd village via the muddy easy path, but went towards the steep slope, from which after some time I turned left onto a well-trodden scenic unmarked path and reached dry to the car in front of the church. This path crosses especially very steep grassy slopes, signs warn of great snow avalanche danger, so don't go on it in winter

On Saturday, 25 October 2025, there was no snow on the ridge of Kriška gora, today, 27.10., snow patches are visible from Kranj. LpA

On Friday after shift first time up from Tržič...idea came up in neighboring thread about "steepest paths" velik nasmeh One part is really quite steep, whole trail just right to get some exercise, and quite a few scenic spots too nasmeh
In warm weather to summit in short sleeves, bit of snow only less than 100m below top.
