Today I took the retirees from DU Medvode to Čaven and Kucelj. No rain. But it was foggy right at the top of Kuclja.

Back to Predmeja - we also couldn't completely avoid the asphalt.19
There must also be a debate.20
Down to Predmeja.21
Unfortunately the much-desired avrikelj is not yet blooming. The Clusius primrose also hasn't opened its flowers due to the fog.22
Likewise, the Trieste primrose has closed flowers.23

That's how it was yesterday. Thunder and storms bypassed Kucelj. It was heard around. We walked a long loop from Lokavec to the hut on Čavnu. We waited there until the shower passed and continued to Kucelj. We descended to Mala gora and there at the turnoff for Lokavec the rain caught us. The path was interesting. Streams ran along the path and we had to go quite carefully. We're used to such paths. Even when there's no sun the hike is really nice. This one is quite demanding fitness-wise. nasmeh

Has anyone been to Kuclju these days? How are the paths from the south side? Snow? Icy?

Kucelj today. It was truly Sunday-like. Everything is quiet, golden sun that shines into the valley, the green trees that grow on the slope are quiet. But even quieter are the paths, those lonely white ones, even quieter [are] the soft shadows from trees along the path. (Srečko Kosovel)
we all went along the lower Srednječavenska path.1

4.03.2026. Lokavec - past the hut on Mali gori. To Kucelj. Descent past the Anton Bavčar hut to Lokavec. The path is not short at all. But beautiful at this time. If I disregard the first part of the path, which was muddy. Then all the way a beautiful and scenic path to Kucelj. We met a few hikers. Three guys who were descending from Kucelj. They went the same path as us.
Those geese are good guards.1
Ducks by the water.2

but we two go on. 10
Up there.11
