The bora that was supposed to blow today changed her mind. It was almost calm on Kucelj. Nice day for hiking. I was planning to go to Golake. But during vižnja I changed my mind and went via the srednječavenska path to Kucelj. At the top, burned grass from New Year - fireworks. Then I descended to Mala gora. Haven't been there yet. Nice panoramic path, which later joins srednječavenska below.

Kamnje-Mala gora-Koča na Čavnu-Kucelj-Vrtovin-Kamnje. Beautiful day, weak bora, views a bit "foggy" and unclear, but nice. Thanks to the Koča na Čavnu keeper for the treat (see pics 2 and 3). We'll remember his 50th!!!

Afternoon really nice view from Kucelj. Now time when hawkweeds bloom. No raspberries up there. Bushes grazed bare. Met some hikers. Almost windless, much warmer than on Mali Golak where it was windy and cold.

. Kucelj from Predmeja 17.12. No need to hurry. Yesterday really nice day. Trail broken. Blown snow below summit. Windy on top. Hut open.
That certainly does not apply to me.1

Today wife and I went to Kucelj from Predmeja. Path first dry, higher a bit snowy velik nasmeh Doable no problem. Met two more hikers. Windy on topnasmehnasmeh

Kucelj 17 February. Suddenly decided for afternoon ascent. Didn't know how much snow on path. Quite some. Only last part to top blown by Vipava bora. No time for Mala gora. Left winter gear in car as snow soft. Gaiters too. Would have been useful. To hut met descending hikers. Probably last on Kucelj. From hut to top and descending met no one. Darkness caught me on last path part. They don't say in vain that morning seeks the day.
I forgot that this path is longer than the one from Predmeja1
There was no more sun.2
nor was it cold.3
here I decide for the steep path to the hut.4
I must not stop too much if I want to get to Kucelj.5
A little more and I'll be at the hut.6
There is quite a lot of snow there.7
I peek inside. The hut is full of hikers.8
I continue to the top. This section is windblown.9
The cross is already visible.10
and it becomes windy and cold at the top.11
The altitude is accurate.12
There are no views at noon today. When I was descending, the fog crept in.13

I've wanted for long decades to ski from Kucelj and I almost managed it. Started from Krnica (very windblown and icy there), then to Selovec lots of snow, from there straight across pastures to the saddle west of the summit, then under the ridge on the S side skied almost to the top (last 50m on foot, because it's windblown). Down awesome to the saddle on the east side and skied a traverse back to Selovec - nice wind there. When there's no wind I promise to ski from the top. velik nasmeh

Maybe he's (they-us) fed up with force-feeding just one quaker-Gorenjska dialect everywhere. Even on this forum there's quite a bit of it (just browse a bit) and obviously it's already become domesticated like in the media and even schoolsjezen, but apparently no one notices. But that doesn't mean I approve of this writing style, because if everyone starts their own, half won't know what it's about.

Some with words, others with actions. Everyone in lack seeks their likes and external validation to satisfy endless craving for praise. Current conditions have long no longer been just current conditions, but mainly ego billboard.

Whoa.. whole debate. Ok I'll try in Slovenian: for a dozen years, since I've been trying to ski/run, or better said push on skis, I've wanted from the heart to ski also on bald-headed Kucelj, which proudly sticks out from the forested Trnovo forest, oh forest. Conditions weren't ideal, best to go right after snowfall without bora (wind Wajdovci would say), so I could risk skiing on the sunny side too.. Nice regards to all fans of Trnovo woods, which is one of the most wonderful parts of our little Slovenian land. Now give me some likes pleasenasmeh
