Kum Parking in Zidani Most at 7:05. Temperature -2.5C and clear morning. Then along the road to the "cicka", which takes you across the Sava. Couldn't find transport instructions (only kg limit 160kg). When I squeezed into the tiny (at least for me) cabin, I almost automatically went to the middle of the river. Then Milan and I managed to board and up to half it was okay. From half Sava onwards we really tried (we probably lied a bit about kilograms...), to land on the other side. When above the road, I looked down anxiously, what the fall height to asphalt would be. Well, finally on the other side and sent the "cicka" back. Continued through Škratova valley and arrived at cck. 3:10 min to the top at the hut. No snow on the path anymore and sun warming nicely. Enjoyed snack on sunny terrace and then descent to Trbovlje (Čebulova valley). Just before 13 in front of closed Lafarge cement plant. Just across the road and at train station, waiting for train that takes us back to start - Zidani Most. On the way met no one except three chamois. nice sunny trip, no wind Lp

Yeah why didn't you go with cicka separately, it'd be much easier..

We figured that out on the other side when we saw the sprocket for winding the cable.

Like this. I'd go to Kum . Basically by train (unless you suggest ascent and descent from Radeče side, then car option). Final destination Radeče, so I'd descend either one of the paths to Radeče or through Škratova valley to Zidani Most. For ascent all paths accessible by train (not from Radeče side). I'd choose nicest paths, as little road as possible, at least decently marked. On ascent or descent I'd also hop to Nebeška gora if I'm there. Any suggestion, recommendation how to do it?

Hi! I'd do it like this: Train to Trbovlje, ascent via Čebulova valley to Kum, descent towards Zidani Most, visit Nebeška gora and to Radeče. Markings are fine. If going through Škratova valley you reach Sava at cicka, cross Sava with it and train in Zidani Most. Or along right bank of Sava to Radeče. Then about 2 km asphalt flat. If alone, with cicka across Sava at end need to pull yourself to other bank which takes some arm strength. LP

Thanks hribuc85! For descent Škratova valley seemed nicest, yeah . To Radeče I'll walk along the right bank of Sava. So for up nicest from Trbovlje? OK.

For me the nicest approach is from Hrastnik . Otherwise all paths are ok. Good luck. Regina

About 10 minutes to the industrial store of the Glassworks or above that shop the path into the forest. It's well marked.

The path through Škrat's valley is quite overgrown in the initial part, so in wet conditions, walking is not pleasant.

Let me add that there are also quite a few nettles in that vegetation, annoying in shorts. Still a beautiful path!

After morning obligations to Kum. From Sopote valley to Vetrni vrh, past a beautiful farmstead to the hut for excellent tea . Back down the other side past two of the most visited farmsteads with views of Jagnjenica, Svibno and Borovak to the valley where the loop closes.

Oh, after this new snow, is the path from Hrastnik trampled? Or from Zagorje...? Who knows which approach is the most interesting?
