Yesterday I went to Ledinski vrh. Usually I go up the protected Slovenska. For this protected path a helmet is mandatory. Climbing gloves are also recommended. For the less experienced, climbing gear. The rock was dry yesterday. It was a nice, pleasant little sweet climbing pleasure. The path through Žrelo is closed. Nice is this connection from Češka koča to Ledine, but now one has to descend to this protected Slovenska at Umik Žrela, which is a partly protected path and not for everyone. The hut at Ledine is open and the warden kindly serves. Years have passed since I went to Ledine for a weekend concert. The hut had quite a few visitors - also foreigners. Then a one-hour walk to Ledinski vrh - and you make a two-thousander. Weather was nice. Views beautiful. Storžek tempts me and maybe Rinke too. To Rinke I will try to go from the Kamnik side. From this side I went years ago. Down the hunting path. The parking lot was quite full. Hikers took advantage of the nice autumn day.

Now there is a barrier after the parking lot - finally.

Unfortunately, almost nothing is left of the Čedca waterfall.

Nearby it's flat, no difficulty - correctly rated.

At the entrance to Žrelo there is still quite a bit of snow.

Pegs also help for entering the climbing section.

Start of the ascent into the gully - one is going down. These are dangerous for triggering rocks.

There shouldn't be any trouble recognizing the peaks around here.

The view of Ledinski vrh from the hut is not very inviting - it looks quite rocky.

Little hut of lake rescuers - I personally know two of them.

Remains of the glacier - once there was a ski resort here.

Today it's a snow dump - maybe this snow will last until winter.

The only protection on the path to Ledinski vrh.

Mrzla gora - I have already climbed it from that side years ago.

Summit of Ledinski vrh with a box for entries and the stamp is also on the rock next to it.

Baba also has visitors - I can imagine how it will be at the weekend - crowd.

On descent on the Austrian side I spotted them.

Start from Logar Valley, snow starts at Okrešelj, higher up about 10 cm new snow, winter gear recommended. Fog lasted all the way to Savinja Saddle, after that fairytale.

And plenty of pics from some climbing guide. Here in the description you can nicely see the difference that the climber and guide kindly mentioned under Triglav topic. Namely, what for climbers in winter is just descent over Baba to Jenko pasture (one sentence), for us forum folks even in summer and uphill is often paragraphs of emotionally experienced tough conditions. That's why GPS question is controversial for me too. Either you do it and finding entrance as climber is by far smallest problem, or you don't (me). Good luck, as Dejan wrote!

But there's an interesting descent description on the attached plezanje.net page, I myself wouldn't even think of going over Velika Baba.

By far the easiest is descent to the right (when you come out of the gully into easier terrain). You bypass Ledinski vrh and descend to the hut on Ledine. Vast majority descend that way.

Conditions on path from Logarska dolina: still 3 snowfields on the way. 2 before Savinjsko sedlo and one very short at end of scree 20min before summit. All nicely crossable without winter gear, so anyone planning this wonderful peak - just path under feet mežikanje

Today a nice tour to Ledinski vrh from Ravenska Kočna. Up the Slovenska pot. Descent the Lovska pot. It was a hot day with wonderful views.

Today on Ledinski vrh from Logarska d. Original plan Turski žleb and peaks above, but turned back just before gully entry due to falling ice and stones. Snow to Okrešelj rotten sinking to knees, further on path snowshoes useful, good choice today.

On Sunday on Ledinski vrh from Logarska dolina.Towards Savinjsko sedlo and Jezersko still couple snowfields, no problems. In steep part where bivouac was, bare ground.

After Koroška Rinka also to Ledinski vrh.Slovenska pot to Ledine and on to summit no issues.

Yesterday to Ledinski vrh, weather not best but still better than next days. Very few people, so many more chamois by path. At start scramble bit over Savinja at Rinka, rain damaged bank apparently, otherwise path ok, just water flows on path in many places.
