Levstik's Hike from Litija to Čatež

Why are you spilling so much bile? You're arguing about the registration fee and ticket. You don't realize that with the organizer Zavod Levstikova pot it's a non-profit activity, where all the money is invested back into the development of the Levstik Trail. This year it starts with Levstik's orchard to preserve old Slovenian varieties of fruit trees. There's always something new. We waste money on all sorts of stupid things, but these 10€ (6€ registration and 4€ return ticket) has become a big problem. The registration money finances the organization, magazine costs, commemorative gifts, investment in marking (signposts alone cost 30,000€), development and promotion of the countryside. It's not a profit-making event as some want to portray. Everything is invested so that the Levstik Trail is more interesting every year. Not just in November but throughout the year. So, don't mind paying the registration fee, since you know in advance where it goes. Otherwise, follow the official project pages at www.levstik.si.

Well, nobody has to go on the hike. Those who think the event is worth 10€ go, the rest can go hiking for free to the nearest hill on foot.

you can still walk back and save 4 eur or in other words drink 2 beers at the end in the inn.
There was so much joy about the postponed date, now regarding the weather it won't be any different - mud up to the knees

This is not a bad idea at all, a lantern in the backpack, and the thing is solved. Along the way there's no devil that some kind-hearted and generous Dolenjec wouldn't give something to eat and drink. In short, worth considering. 
But not this year, some other time when the weather is friendlier. Those who want to wade through mud and on top pay for wading, be my guest. 100 people 100 wonders.

We and our colleagues have already managed to organize it that way: we went with two vehicles and left the first at the finish (Čatež), with the second we drove to the start of the path. And there was no big complication.

It's been a long time since there was a post on this topic... We hiked the trail on Saturday with girlfriends. Part of the trail was really muddy. Locals along the trail took care that we weren't hungry or thirsty, and the day passed mainly with many interesting debates. Personally I think it's worth experiencing it all once, that's it...
