Hello!

Tomorrow we plan to do a short hike to see the Šumik waterfall and Lovren lakes.
Since I couldn't find any trails on the internet, I'm curious where's the best to leave the car and how from Šumik to the lakes and approx walking time?

During a one-week holiday on Rogla I also visited the Lovren Lakes, where I had an unpleasant surprise: around the benches by the lake and under the tower there were loads of cigarettes, empty plastic bottles, broken glass bottles and other rubbish. I had a bag and glove with me and managed to clean most of it. Sad that there are so many people with no respect for nature. jezen

And this happens where the pearl of Pohorje nature should be at home?!! Who is actually supposed to be the caretaker and maintainer of these natural sights, if any zmeden

Sv.Vid above Vitanje is my regular starting point. From 1300m onwards it had freshly "powdered" a bit overnight. To Lovren Lakes max 2 cm fresh. At old snow patches you sank in a bit more. From Pesek past the tower back to Planja and into the valley. Gaiters you can safely leave at home.

The path among the treetops was such a crowd that we headed straight to the Lovren Lakes. Incredibly nice, warm last weekend in October. Which year was there such stuffiness at this time? From Pesek back past the tower and lakes to the start. The queue was just as long for entry to the treetops.

I read somewhere that if you want to get to know the most beautiful part of Pohorje, you have to head to the Lovren Lakes, beautiful earthly pearls. And we did exactly that on Sunday. Good thing we set off just after 7 in the morning, as later real crowds of people poured in.

But beauty is always most beautiful when you can admire it when peace and quiet are your companions on the way.

The first lake you see that takes your breath away.

You don't know which one to admire more.

This one is somewhat hidden from ordinary eyes.

You can't go without a picture by the lake.

You don't know which view is the most beautiful.

Great photos. Well, when we go past Lovren Lakes we usually avoid the crowds, because in nature I seek peace for the soul.
We continue to Ribniška hut, of course return back. Few set off on such a long path.

I agree with you. Well, you're still young. Pohorje-really special path, depends how you plan it.

From Rogla to Lovren Lakes in true winter idyll. The path is well trodden and hardened especially where the cross-country tracks run.
For equipment you only need a camera and good mood.
The weather rewarded us with wonderful views from Kamnik Alps, Triglav to Snežnik and Gorjanci.
