Yesterday I took advantage of the nice day and climbed to the Vršiči plateau from Šraj peska. This time I chose the passage in the wall before Durci. First up the wide scree, around the jump and up the gully, then around the edge and over two gravel hollows to the bushy edge. From below it looks quite inaccessible, actually little climbing, all within UIAA I. Plenty of cairns on the way. On the plateau I wandered from one summit to another.

Approach via gully to Vežica (very demanding).

Up the gully left or right over the rugged rock.

Today from Planina Podvežak to Lučki Dedec. Road surprisingly good. Parking lot bursting at seams by 12 on return. Didn't go down to Dom na Korošici as it looked like no one around the containers. Took the upper path, junction to Dedec long marked with sign on ground, plenty of cairns for orientation. Weather in the sign of fourth heatwave, which doesn't suit me personally, still nice to stand on summit again after more than ten years.

On Sunday with brother to the mountains. We adjusted the tour a bit due to soft legs, sometimes steep terrain takes energy even from youth nasmeh

Lučka Bela (partisan hospital) - Lučki Dedec. Nice day. Nice to meet some friendly company too.

On the way back right along the high mountain stream to the Stari Stal.

Today from Planina Podvežak to Lučki Dedec. Road to parking drivable. Snow at Planina Podvežak just a sample, further to Planina Korošica and Lučki Dedec all possible conditions, from hard base to wind-packed snow up to knees or more velik nasmeh

...depending how tall you are nasmeh

You can get to the parking lot, of course with winter tires :)

Nicely trodden but only to the fork where it turns to Korošica, higher up there is quite a bit of wind-blown snow

It was the plan but because of the wind I changed my mind....Ojstrica

Still lit by the last rays, and finally the wind had a little mercy on me :)

Also we two yesterday from planina Podvežak to Lučki Dedec. Up to Korošica it's as Tomaž11 described, slopes windswept and hard in places, sinks in places. We crossed slope above Korošica then further to Dedec. Saw someone descending from Ojstrica. On descent from top it was already south-facing, so crusts were forming. Returned past Vodostečnik. Here path mostly tracked. Descent from top above Vodostečnik to Podvežak was hard again. But beautiful day, not too cold but windy again.

You used interesting term for Vodotočno jezero or Vodotočnik, namely Vodo-stečnik.
Meaning almost the same, but never seen that name before. Did you call it that by chance? Safe steps further on winter paths! nasmeh

Today I used a day off and headed a bit differently to Dedec.
Leave car at Podvežak and just below farm turn left to path marked with crosses to Lastovec. Continue over Deska, to Vodotočnik and to Dedec. Descend to Korošica and back on marked path to Podvežak.
Quite windy, otherwise super day cool

Today I went to Lučki Dedec from Podvežak, past Vodotočno jezero (also to Deska on the way). Then descent to Korošica and back on the direct path. Nice and not demanding path. Only the fog annoyed a bit, so one couldn't see Ojstrica and Planjava nicely.

Can one follow the trail from Vodotočnik onwards to Dedec and how much does the path descend and ascend in between? How much time is there still from the little lake to Dedec?

From Vodotočnik to Lučki Dedec is three quarters of an hour of normal walking. Follow the marked path to Korošica and at the saddle before the path drops to the Korošica valley turn left to a traceable unmarked trail, which takes you nicely to the top of Dedec along cairns. The path from the little lake first climbs, then levels out and descends a little. Soon it climbs again in a northerly direction all the way to the top. Regards

You can't miss it, marked up to the turn-off for Dedec, then cairns. Good hour more, all uphill.

Yesterday wandered up here again. Parking full, barely space for car velik nasmeh

To avoid processions to Korošica already below Podvežak turned left to Lastovec. Then Desko past Vodotočnik to Dedec with visitors. Back past Korošica. Nice day, else hot hot cool
